monounsaturated fats are the healthiest. they provide the "good" carrier of cholesterol called high density lipoproteins. unsaturated fats should comprise a good 50% of the total fat intake. polyunsaturated fats should make up for around 25% with the remaining fats being saturated.
olive oil is a great unsaturated fat while omega 3,6 & 9 fatty acids from fish, most nuts, etc. are polyunsaturated

monounsaturated fats are generally good. they are found in vegtable and nut oils. They are liquid at room temp.
polyunsaturaated fats refer to omega -3 and omega -6 fats. these are essential for health. the body cannot make these fats. The increase "good" cholesterol.
so Polyunsaturated fats are vital. monounsaturated fats are not harmful.

They are both unsaturated fats. Both are good for you in moderation. the "bad" fats are saturated and unsaturated fats. You may be concerned about the omega 6 to omega 3 ratio however. Most americans consume a diet very high in omega 6's, but not so high in omega 3's. The recommended ratio is 3:1, however most of us have it about 16:1. Good sources of omega 3's are fatty fish such as salmon, mackrel, herring, and sardines...The reason for wanting more omega 3's than omega 6's is due to anti-inflamatory effects of omega 3's, which is very important to cardiovascular health...recall heart disease is the #1 killer of americans today.
This is a good link that can explain the concept a bit further:
