By all accounts, judges are too busy flashing their genitals at innocent female train passengers than worry about crime and punishment.

The biggest problem is "activist" judges. These are the idealogues who feel that their main function in society is to create a level playing field instead of interpretting the law. They actually believe that there are two victims in every crime-the victim and the offender. These judges have too much faith in restorative justice. Too many times felons are given unfairly soft punishment or set free altogether to do their dirt once again. I still haven't heard of any kind of successful therapy for child molesters or wife-beaters. I fear this is a sign of the times in our soon to be socialist society.

When the Government stops interfering with sentencing guidelines and that idiot John Reid stops putting pressure on them not to send people to prison because they're all full, because he and his successors couldn't do their jobs properly.
BTW - it is largely executive - not judge-made law - that affords suspects rights in the UK. And it was actually Margaret Thatcher's government which brought in the PACE Act - which by far and away afforded more rights to suspects than had been allowed both before and since then.

Our faulty justice system is not exactly the judges' faults. It's society in general. Our jails and prisons are overflowing, to the point that criminals are being handed light sentences, time off for good behavior and early parole just to get them out of there to fit more in.
If we actually carried out death sentences instead of letting them sit in death row for life, it would sure solve some of the overcrowding. But, we've become way to PC for that these days. Which is yet another reason why judges hand out light sentences, and the vicious cycle continues.

It beats me the criminal has more rights than the victim now adays- so they are getting away with these crimes all the time-They should make a example of some of them a very long sentence and make the others think twice before they do something again

when the taxpayers tell the Judges what to do with the law. We have to tell them we do or do not want certain laws enforced to the max. They currently get crap from both sides and try to ride the middle of the road. It does not work nor does it solve any problems.
Remember in many places Judges work for us and can be voted out. In other places they are appointed and we need to apply more pressure to their bosses.

The only way is direct action.
If you meet a judge ruin his day by going on and on sand on and on about it. If you own a shop keep the judge waiting.
Treat them like they treat us. With contempt.
