You know how a lot of people after a break up dont want to start dateing for a little well Iam the complete opposite way like say theres this girl and we go out for months and months and then break up I think it would be a lot faster to get over her if Im with a nother girl haveing a blast not thinking of her rather than if Im sitting at home thinking about her and feeling sorry for my self is anyone else have that opinion? or.. any other ways they get over some one they love and does my reason sound so wrong?

I'm the same way. I was with my former girlfriend for about 6 months. I really thought she might be the one and she even told me that I was the best thing that happened to her. She then abruptly broke up with me. I sulked for about 2 days and that was it. I got right back out and started dating again and after 3 not so great dates I met this girl that is now my wife of exactly one year as of June 17th this year. Never have been happier !!!!!

Honestly, I am that way, too. But it makes you come off as insensitive and uncaring towards your ex. Its a slap in the face to your ex, especially if your last relationship was long because it looks like you are able to get over her in a snap so she must not have really mattered. I completely understand your reasoning, and like I said, I used to like to start dating new people right away, too, but then I realized that to outsiders/friends/family/your ex, it makes you look very uncaring and disrespectful.

Get out with friends to get rid of your blues. Don't use other girls to try to take the ex's place. I think the saying goes, You got burned so you jump out of one frying pan into another. Trust me it will never work for the better.

It's your own way of getting over the girl you were dating. But, if you don't like to be like that ..just keep yourself busy and occupied. It might be awkward to see her after awhile ..but if you keep yourself occupied and busy. You'll get over her faster.

Its called a rebound relationship, they never work, they never last, and they always hurt the girl you drag into it.
