This really isn't a question, just a suggestion to quit using/eating unhealthy microwave popcorn. Take a small paper bag, like a lunch bag, put in a handful or two of unpopped popcorn, the kind you buy in the l or 2 pound bags. Put in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes (until it stops popping). Use I Can Believe It Isn't Butter spray (no calories) and a little salt. Yummy. Healthy and no fat and hardly any calories. Good for diets when you need a munchie.

Someone asked if it was a fire hazard. Yes it could be if you leave it in too long. Just like regular microwave, the bag will burn if left in too long, so be careful.

Thanks! I just read somewhere there is some chemical in the bags for microwave popcorn that is carcinogenic, and was wondering how to pop the plain kernels. I think I will make a mixture of butter / lime juice / chili powder to put on it, but just a little!

Thanks SO much for that suggestion! I am a total popcorn aficionado so that made me very happy to read! I stopped eating microwave popcorn some time back but it is so nice to read something about how to make it a healthier snack.

Wow! That's a really good idea!!!! I LOOOOVE popcorn, but cannot stand the low fat stuff in the microwaveable bag. I don't even like microwaveable popcorn. Sounds delicious! Thanks!
