Anything? Anything at all?

I ask this, because all of the so-called "feminists" here in "Women's Studies" do is just bash men, hate men, attack men, troll, emasculate men, and spread lies and falsehoods about men.

Jackal: Speak for yourself. Your "views" don't represent all or most men.

Graymalkin: Sorry, you didn't answer the question. You just went on to more male-bashing.

A lot of you women-in-denial have been asking me for posts on here in which women attack men. According to them, no woman has ever attacked men in the history of Yahoo Answers. That in itself is a sexist notion. Wow, where do I begin? Thank goodness for the search engine:

Λšŧậяộŧħ :

LOL! Yes, it definitely amazes me that "Carrie" and "stormsinger" claim to have never seen any male-bashing on here. Amazing! What a bunch of liars! LOL!

godless pagan:

The links; everytime you found a link with obvious male-bashing, just said it's "someone with a female avatar," as to insist it's not a female behind the name. THEN WHAT'S THE POINT OF THIS ENTIRE DISCUSSION?!?! If you're just going to write off everything as "someone with a female avatar, blah blah blah." For a more closer example, look at fraxinus' response to this question, where she bashes men and states there is nothing to like about men. Why can't you just admit that there are women here that bash men? The fact that you don't admit it says you think women are perfect, which in itself is a form of male-bashing and misandry.

On that note, I must ask:

DO WOMEN THINK/ADMIT MALE-BASHING FROM WOMEN EVEN EXISTS???

Obviously it very much exists as I think a few regulars on here (who shall remain nameless, but if your on here alot u know who i'm talking about)

Although I consider myself more of an equalist or humanist, given the definition of feminism, technically i do qualify to respond so here goes.

I love men, especially my father who is (ok maybe i'm biased lol) I feel a great example of a man who is secure with himself while also respectful of others and doesn't try to control anyone (btw that trait that is most commonly associated with males is I find very prevalent in women too, i digress) I love how logically thinking men's minds are, I enjoy the lack of gossip and cattiness that can occur when i am among women, when hanging out with men, and I think its funny (in a good way) how hung up on their masculinity they can get when presented with problems/challanges such as being lost and not wanting to ask for directions.

those are just a few of mine, hope it helps

I think 1st of all we have to understand the term feminist itself. why does it exist and the purpose. I've been debating about this since i was 15 with my friends and some of my guy friends seem to misunderstood the concept and even the girls themselves. The test to feminist is neither objective nor subjective. But 1 thg for sure, feminist exists due to the discrimination created by the system, regardless whether its man or woman. Since Emma Goldman until now, we are fighting to create this standard so that women are no longer left behind and being discriminated. Back to the root. In some countries, women are not even allowed to get out from their house, are not even allowed to work. Back to the root again. Women, during those days and until now have been regarded as a sex symbol. In some countries, if the daughter has been raped, police report would be the last thing in list coz that would be the biggest shame of the family and the woman, instead of being protected, being killed due to the pride. Like i said, the test to feminist is neither objective nor subjective. Feminist exist not to teach the society or woman herself to hate men, but to educate the women. We have few organizations dedicated to woman, to help them. World itself is the devil. Man or woman, both had created the system. So the question is there anything that feminists like about men? it depends, and i think the next question should be is that man the devil of the system?coz if he is, he's not really a man ;)

i don't bash men, so not ALL feminists do this, just as not ALL men are pigs, ya dig?

i love men! esp my husband, dad, brother, nephews (well, technically they're still boys). I like them. They're good people. I don't make sweeping judgements of groups of people.
I can't think of a particular quality (other than physical ;) of course) that all men and no women posess, so i would have to say that what I like about people in general also encompasses what I like about men.

as for the links (might not be in numerical order, sorry):
#1) was one poster, claiming to be female(ish), and the 2 responders didn't agree
#2) another individual with a female avatar; mixed replies from bashing women, to telling her not to be sexist, to excuses.
#3) one woman saying that she hates men. that says more about HER, as she says no reasons. it was about her, not men.
#4) a joke, in bad taste. what, have you never made or seen jokes about women?
#5) again, more about the individual's issue with hating men, and which she got told to go to the doctor, that wasn't normal, by nearly everyone.

so, i didn't see any more bashing of men in those posts than i've seen bashing of women in others. even the replies in those bashed women as a response. but i will say:

Bashing people because of their gender is WRONG

Hmmm let me see.......
Ok, what I love about men.
1. They are just so cool, cool as a cucumber with how they don't show how fazed they are about things when emotions run high.
2. They way they can be a real mystery with the way they think, but when I do find out some things about the way they think and feel, usually it's a pleasant surprise. Men are softies inside and that's great.
3. The way that most of them stand by their womans side even if she is cranky/moody. And they try and make the effort to understand.
4. Their manly smell, mmmmmm-mmmmmmm.
5. Their manly bodies that show so much strength.

Ahh there could be some negatives said, but this is about saying the positive things right?

Here no feminist ever bash men. Oh wait, one just did! NO PROBLEMO! We'll just fake that we haven't seen it and that our browser doesn't work very well so we can't click on links.

OOPS! What if there's male-bashing in a question they're answering? NO PROBLEMO! Just delete your answer and say ''I got a violation''.

Carrie, I'm disappointed in you.
Stormsinger, you too.

EDIT
fraxinus above openly bashes men and receives 2 thumbs up.
The feminists have NOT seen it. Shhh...keep it a secret.

EDIT
If it's ''just a female avatar'' then why don't they say ''it's just a male avatar''? It's a double standard, the irony of it is that double standards are precisely what feminists wish to destroy.

Good question. I believe in gender equality and my husband and I live it on a daily basis. However, I do not label myself with feminists because it brings to mind a stereotype...the malebashing ball-buster. Notice that the term is GENDER EQUALITY, not superiority. Anyone that *hates* a race, religion or sex is a bigot and should not be proud of herself. Good answer, 4thDimension.

Feminists are interested in the future of women. Men have just about destroyed the planet & right now are shooting, killing, raping, bombing, polluting, invading, torturing, abusing & DEMANDING attention & food & football - & as much money as they can grab - good heavens! What's to like?

2007-06-13 11:42:55 · answer #7 · answered by Anonymous · 3 2

Sure. For the most part, we respect men and are interested in working with them to achieve full equality. But don't expect us to say anything favourable about the guys who hate us.

I'm with Carrie. WHERE are these supposed attacks against men? You're going to have to provide some proof.

YOU, on the other hand, have a reputation for attacking women. It seems like a case of projection.

I am a feminist, and I am MARRIED to a man. I love him very much. I have many close male friends, and a lot of male family that I love.

Just because I don't like YOU (troll), does not mean that I don't like men.
