how do some people get drunk easily while some don't?

Yep yep, different tolerances probably due to how your bodies receptors are and how well your liver is at breaking alcohol down. Everyone's chemoreceptors are a little bit different so some people might be effected by a lower blood alchohol concentration and those with a stronger liver and kidneys will remove alcohol quicker, lowering the concentration.

I could be a great number of things, any one of the above answers are also true but I'd like to add that I drink heavily and can take 10 shots within 20 minutes and I'm not puking. And that is just because of my own sad existence and habits. If you are wanting to be able to drink with the big boys, then I'd suggest eating a decently full amount, letting it settle before you drink, and then just take it slow, maintain your buzz.

Its their size. Usually a big person doesnt get drunk as fast as a smaller person.

size of the person matters. weight and what you eat before you drink matters as well. also women get drunk faster and alcohol hits them harder than males

people have different levels of tolerance when it comes to alcohol
