because people are over-reacting about it, that they accuse other people as racists as if racism is a criminal offense? racism, in my opinion, is just simple opinion about other race, so what's wrong with it?
and if I may add, it's an idiotic belief that there's no such thing as race, because there is, and don't tell me that there's on one race, which is the human race, because it's crap.

what I mean to say is don't tell me that there's no such thing as "race" because there's only one race, which is the human race, get it?

Opus Dei is such a hypocrite--He says we all deserve dignity, etc. then brags about torturing SUSPECTED terrorists.
He speaks of loving kindness and compassion, then, "flat fact" calls people" imbeciles" if he disagrees with them!
There is rampant racism in the USA. Maybe one day it will end, but no time soon.

OK, I'll agree and disagree.
First, yes people do seem to over-react a lot, and call people racist who don't deserve it.
Second, racism should never be a criminal offense. It is, as you say, an opinion. One that I find particularly offensive. But as a member of a free nation, I defend your right to hold beliefs that I find offensive.
Let me explain why I find racism offensive. If you meet a person of a certain race and he does you harm, I have no problem with you choosing to dislike him. It is earned. It is based on his acts as an individual. But if you meet someone else later that day, who is the same race as the first person, you really shouldn't treat them badly because of what the first person did. That's unfair and probably unrealistic. You're jumping to conclusions about the 2nd person, who very likely is NOT like the first guy.
Finally, get real. Of course there is such a think as the human race. We're all related at some point, if you go back far enough.

I have to agree. Racism is an opinion. To say to somebody that you cannot express that opinion simply because it might offend someone, I say welcome to a free society. The only way it becomes illegal is if a racist remark is slanderous or intentionally provokes someone to assault another. However, even the latter is a difficult thing to prove. Racism and prejudices are a natural behavior shared by all living creatures. Furthermore, by punishing people for certain views and expressions could have an adverse effect and only serve to promote them more.

I would just like to remind everyone that if you are black you (by liberal socialist standards) are exempt from being racist. Jesse Jackson is not banned from news reports because of his racist views, but if a white person was to try it he would be laughed at, or discredited by the media. Blacks have the black ***** college fund, the NAACP, and all of these organizations that fight for the advancement and/or supremacy of blacks. But if an organization of whites were to do this it would be considered racist. So racism and all that is nothing but a bunch of political corrctness and pure bull. It is just a means for the black man to use to his advantage and steal, blame or excuse his own self hate or disposition in life on a white person. In reality there are more black racist than whites.

Racism isn't a criminal offense, but acting upon racist beliefs with criminal acts IS a criminal offense.
As for racists being locked up in jail... if one isn't racist going in, they will will be coming out. It's quite a cesspool for the creation and development of racism.

No, I do think that eventually, generations and generations from now, racism will fade away. But I think countryism (hating people of another country) will stick around for a long time. Eventually skin color won't matter.

It's already here. There is a reason on our state reporting system we have a check box and codes to enter if racially motivated (which carry stiffer fines)

Yes, and I think the day will come when people who voice their disagreement with gay marriage and their lifestyles will be put in jail.

everybody has a right to opinion but when it starts holding these people back in school because ,"they're just stupid people" and not hiring those because "they're just so lazy, you just can't get them to do anything" and telling those people it's sold because "they whole neighborhood will turn into gangland" Then it is WRONG
