Dear Annie L,
It appears your present parents have adopted you. If they give you source from where they have adopted you and the name of your birth parents, perhaps it will be easier for you to find them. You should also know the country from which you have been adopted. After several years of their having given you away for adoption, I do not think they would want to see you. However, they would be happy if they meet you and know that you are well (your birth parents should have some problem - like poverty, which drove them to give you for adoption).

you can try to contact the agent/judge,the preceded over your adoption, and ask them to contact your birth parent/s,or at least post on your records that you do desire to meet/or list what questions you may have ,they/birth parent may not wish contact ,but may give, medical records or sometimes the records show reason /or have a letter attached just in the case of this event, remember please that people do change their mind as life goes on and they may wish to meet you. posting your information and your intent on one of the sites that help reunite may get results,it does take time ,if you are of age your adoptive parent can be at your side to help you with your search, they may already know the situation of your adoption,so start there.often nobody is what you expect/their life can be better /or worse ,it will be hard for you in either situation to extract information /or get answers to all your questions, you can hire a mediator as a go between to collect info ,to your questions ,if contact is desired by all, just take it slow, this is very emotional for all concerned ,try to understand this ,you may could join a support group to help better under stand all sides of this issue before you jump into it,good luck

to find your birth parents, try asking the adoption agency or orphanage you were adopted from. even though they might not act like it, they want to see you. they want to make sure you're in a good home and are being treated properly. and if not, keep your head up, because there is at least someone in this world who loves you!

Ask your adoptive parents who they are. Put thier names in a google search. You could also go to peoplefinders.com and for a small price enter as much as you know about them in the criteria. There are many websights that could help you. You could go to as many as you can find and enter your birthdate, place of birth ect...
You'll never know unless you try. You could find that they are looking for you as well and you could have siblings that are looking for you

I am sure they would want to see you! There are many Adoption Registry websites out there that reconnect birth parents with adopted children.
Here is a link to my search results. Try registering with a few and see what happens.

Good Luck!
