what would happen if i put salt down the barrel of my co2 powered bb gun? would it be effective to ware of dogs? would this hurt them? i am scarred to walk becuase there are always dogs.
how about rock salt? where would i get it?
also one more question. one time i was stealing fruit from his trees and i think he shot me with some but it was big and burned me bad what was it? do they have special things for guns?

.410 shotgun with rock salt shells would help get rid of the dogs.
Besides using your BB gun (which salt wouldn't work in anyways) you only get 1 shot.
If there are that many dogs around maybe you need to find out who owns them, and warn them that if they aren't controlled, they may start disappearing. I understand that living in the country includes the occasional dogs running about but if you are afraid to walk away from your house and they aren't your dogs, you have a problem.
It was rock salt that got you. Hurts like hell because it's supposed to without killing you. You could have lost an eye or an ear, but the rock salt was your "humane" warning to stop picking his fruit.

How about this:
Its illegal to let dogs run free regardless if you in the country, city or desert. Call authorities about the dogs and let them know about the problem. If you fire anything at the dogs, including rock salt and can not prove that they were attacking you, your going to jail. Keep in mind that if you do plan to carry a gun for this reason, then the authorities know that you were aware of the issue and your in even bigger trouble.
Call animal control, its the only option !

It won't work well. You need something under the salt to push it out the barrel and something over to keep it in the barrel until ready to fire.
Since your BB gun is too small to cut over and under charge wads, just go ahead and use a BB.

table salt won't work.
Rock salt you should be able to pick up at any grocery.
Big and burned could be rock salt, it's not particularly lethal, and you should know that salt in wounds hurts.
Yes, it could horribly hurt the dogs (but probably not kill them), especially if rock salt gets into their eye or something.
