Me and my boyfriend of almost 8 months, to him we're perfect, but to me, I'm not feeling the same way about him. I know I should just come out with it, but I don't want to hurt him. He is the only guy I have dated that has treated me with respect and honesty. Please, should I end it, work on it, what?!

It's tough, but you gotta end it now. The longer you take, the worse it will be. Just tell him the truth. I had to do that last year....and despite my being really gentle, straightforward, and nice, the guy took it REALLY hard. He thought we were perfect; he saw only what he wanted to. He insisted I loved him. So, get ready for an argument, but don't back down. Just end it clean, and then don't talk to him about it after that. The experts say that's best to avoid stretching it out and giving any false signals of hope that you will change your mind, because they will kick and scream and refuse to let go sometimes.
Today, I am *SO RELIEVED* that I did it then and didn't settle or stretch it out and be miserable. Good luck to you, and know you're doing the right thing even though it's going to suck for awhile.

You know what you want
If you're not feeling the relationship, let him go. You both will appreciate it on the long run if you dont think its meant to be
It would be a shame if you keep going when you're not into it and instead of taking up 8 months of his life, you take up 8 years. Thats a lot of time lost for both of you to search for the RIGHT one
break up, its easier said than done, but if you keep waiting it will just get harder for you both.
Just because he is a nice guy, doesnt mean he's the right one. If he is, you'll both come around
Good luck, its never easy

I would end it. No matter how much you try it's going to be inevitable that you break up. If you try it may help iron things out for "a bit" but in the end your lack of interest is going to catch up to you. Save both of you some misery and just end it now. If after some time apart and you feel like "oh my God" I screwed up my soul mate, well then get back together with him.

What is it about him that you are not feeling? I mean, if you dont like this guy anymore then please tell him. There is no use hurting him by lying to him. I think he would rather know the truth so he can move on. If you dont tell him then you are just holding him back from meeting someone else. And you are also holding yourself back from finding someone for you....Please just relieve him...for the both of you!!!

other than "it's getting old", you don't give us much to work with.
what is it that you're dissatified with? are you stuck in a rut as far as activities go? are you looking to date others?
maybe you could make a list as to what is bothering you ..what is good and what is not good about the relationship. then you can at see whether you want to work on it or not.

Well, depends on what is bothering you in the first place, but whatever it is, work on it, but if it's not going anywhere, then end it
