Honesty is good, but love has the worthiness to be considered our highest virtue.

Allah means God in Arabic, doesn't it. God can't be trusted? Anyway, I would say complicated honesty might be more right. If it includes sincerity and an honest appraisal of a situation without bias for your own view, I would say honesty ranks high. It is hard to compete with love, though, as that is our humanity and makes us more than a machine. A wise understanding of love, but more, to feel genuinely, gets my vote.

Honesty is one of the highest virtues, I should say. Love, forgiveness, wisdom and tolerance are very high too.
Peace!

I do think it is high in the group. But, I can't really say only one act is greatest as virtue. I don't think honesty is worth much without mercy or love

Charity is the highest virtue. It is the virtue by which we love our neighbors as ourselves. The biblical injunction often called The Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" would include being honest, but would encompass much more. Treating others charitably includes treating others with compassion, kindness, respect, generosity, forgiveness, sincerity, as well as honesty.

I don't think it's fair to choose a highest virtue. Many problems would arise if that's all people had. Why do we always think in terms of best and worst, better and worse, for and against? This must end.

Anyone who is totally honest about everything and every time, is way up there on the virtue scale. Yet, Jesus tells us that the 'greatest of these if love'. Based on that, I have to say our greatest virtue is compassion.

Kindness. What is simple honesty? for example-Grandma asks: "don't you love my raisin, walnut, fig cookies? I made them just for you." Simple honesty says no Grandma, they make me yak. Simple honesty says, yes, the Jews are hiding in the basement. Kindness should out weigh honesty.
