It is illegal for a doctor to talk to anyone besides you and your insurance company about medical info, unless you threaten your life or someone else's. He could of referred you to psychiatrist but that's about it. They dr. office probably made you sign a right to privacy agreement, try to find it. Definitely report him and if you can talk to a lawyer. As for your family do what you have to do to keep yourself healthy and sane and don't let them make you feel bad. Good luck and congrats about the baby.

Most individuals who reply are very liable and their solutions/recommendation come from their possess individual stories. They will mainly provide a internet deal with so the asker can confirm the expertise themselves. This is quite often a establishing factor for acquiring expertise. With plenty of helpline numbers given by means of those who used them at time of want and discovered them handy. Like others have mentioned when you distrust the reliability of the solutions pleasant to simply cross to a general practitioner to acquire the expertise you require. There are a couple of idiots that come on right here however you'll be able to quite often spot them. I have discovered it frequently informative and a 2 method road. I go on what I realize and I choose up stuff from others that I didn't realize and that I can go directly to any individual in want. I feel it is filled with type and precise individuals who love to aid others. Our solutions are not ever supposed to switch a general practitioner's recommendation/diagnoses or the will for proffessional aid/intervention.

The doctor had no right to call ur job and release confidential info to them. U need a lawyer, & if u dont sue him call the state board and report him. as far as ur mom is concerned if u dont want her in ur business put her on a "Need 2 Know" basis! Dont tell her everything, she cant but in where she doesnt have the knowledge to, thats how I treat my mother. Once ur over 21 its really none of her business!

Yes, you have a right to be angry. Now that you've fired your doctor, you need to fire your family too. If you want to handle your problems on your own, and it sounds like you do, don't talk to your relatives about it. They can't stick their nose in your business if they don't know what your business is!

You're completely right to be angry. He had no right telling people at work that you had PTSD, or even a sprained ankle, for that matter. That's privaleged info. You should sue him.
