Depends on what you have a 2bbl or high performance K vin numbered car. The 289 2bbl is available fron Auto-Zone the high performance 289 4 bbl carb is much harder to find in good condition. Don't just go about changing high pro carb and intake for 2bbl because the compression and camshaft is different.

you can look at a any of the mustang sites they have all this stuff,it isn't cheap though,nothing really is right now,but any mustang site that sells old parts and restoration parts have these,and also any advance auto parts will also have access to them,you can type look in this web site at some of the stuff they have for those cars also,larrysmustangparts.com

For a car like that I would say cheap is not an option. Go for broke if you want to keep the car in good condition.

a lot of different ones will work with simple changes, you can find rebuilt ones at parts stores and used ones at wrecking yards and on ebay.com
You might even try a parts kit and rebuild your own.
