I'm looking to purchase a 2007 Lexus IS250, and for a month have been watching the road for the 2005 models (or older). I haven't seen ONE. Are people trading them in for the newer ones? Does that mean when a new exterior model for the IS comes out, the '06, '07 and '08's will be off the road too? Or is the car so bad that people are selling them right away?

I don't think they were the big hit that Lexus hoped for honestly. I have seen very few IS's of any year in Maryland. I see more of the ES and SUV model by far then any other Lexus model. The original IS was a bit small and they've always been a bit over priced IMO. I'd rather have a GS430 then IS350 personally. Though I would wait another year for the Hyundai Genesis if I had $40K to spend on a luxury car, the Genesis is going to steal alot of sales from the 5-series, RL, GS and E-series I think.

Where I live, you see your share of older Lexus's. There's a lot of the 2001 IS's and the 1990's Lexus's along with the new ones.

There their just few and far between I saw a red one yesterday in GA. The older is really didn't look like anything special the new Is is a beautiful car and what the Is should look like. No the Is is a great car, just doesn't look all that good.

It depends on where your located in Florida/California you'll see them all over they are rear drive cars and not as popular in the northern states due to weather--but they are out there and they are sweet-I actually like the older body style better than the new design, but that is my opinion a lot of people like the new one as well (AWD) especially in the northeast--
