Ok,so me and my friend live very close to an Eckankar Temple. and i respect what they do because its THEIR OWN CHOICE and my friend claims that she is a 'strong christian' but she keeps on insulting them but saying that they are like some creepy pagan anti-christ freaks that worship some man and that they chant "hu" and kidnap and rape 12 yr old girls ..personally i think thats all bullshit and i serverely insults me when she talks s.hit about them..and i mean i used to be pagan but now i dont have a religion and its like she thinks im a complete freak for not believing in some guy that never even existed and im sorry but i think christianity is a stupid lie..i dont mean to insult any one im actually just kindof venting too

Somebody very close to me is involved in Eckankar. Eck doesn't promote the kidnapping and rape 12-year-old girls. They do, however, chant "Hu". Your friend is very immature. Let her know that her comments bother you. If she persists, it might be time to move on. It's always hard to lose a friend, but then again, who wants an intolerant bigot for a friend, anway? Remind her that Christians are not meant to judge others, and that there are Biblical prohibitions against that sort of thing.

I know you said you're just trying to vent but it's kind of an insult to me too. You say that you think christianity is a stupid lie but I happen to believe in it. Just don't tell her that because then you'll just be contradicting yourself. Just let her know that you think it's wrong that she insults other religions. I have a respect for everyone and what they believe and I'm not going to insult people for that. She isn't acting very christian by doing that either. Let her know that. Sometimes we have to let people know what they are doing that hurts us or it may get worse.
