Maux nichs. Or maybe, mauchs nix. No wait, it could be, max niks.

Either way, the pronunciation is mocks nicks.

What does it mean?

Machts Nix. Literally: Makes Nothing.

The equivelent of "no problem". It isn't a curse. When someone says thanks for a great job or something like that, and you say "it was nothing", or "no problem" the Germans say "machts nix" (like you said, pronounced mocks nicks).

In German it´s written " macht nichts" and it´s not a curse, it means " it does not matter". Also "it´s okey"or "never mind", are good translations.

Not a curse, means literally "It makes nothing", used for "doesn't matter/it was nothing" and spelled "Macht's nichts". ('s is short for es)

In Swiss-German it's macht's nöööd.
