I would jog every night, alternating the time and intensity between days. Go for a light day then a more intense day. Try to live an active life. Don't sit while chatting with friends, stand. Don't watch TV, go outside or clean your room. Walk through the mall. Also add some strength & resistance training for muscle growth because muscle increases your metabolism and burns fat. Try to eat as healthily as possible: avoid carbs, sugar & foods with lots of sodium, drink lots of water and eat foods with fiber.

I congratulate you for trying to lose weight and getting fit. Keep it up...I'm very fit and it takes more than just working out. You need to eat healthy too. Stop eating processed foods and eat more fruits and veggies. Don't drink soda...here are some tips on eating first:
-trying drinking a gallon of water a day. This can help you lose weight as you are ridding your body of all the salt which gives you more weight.
-eat more high fiber foods that make you poop but you will be losing weight this way and fiber is good for you.
-make sure you are eating carbs, protein and fiber in each meal. carbs are great for energy.
-eat less foods in packages. eat more raw natural foods and stick to a regular schedule. similar tastes of foods.
as for exercising running is the best thing. Cardio is really good if you want to lose fat. I would recommend continue your running and the nights you arent running do things to strengthen your muscles. Crunches will not help you get rid of belly fat, cardio will. Dont waste your time on crunches and instead do lunges or squats. Do other cardio so you aren bored like rollerblading, biking or swimming.
Try these things, food is a HUGE part in this. Dont starve youself. Try the gallon of water a day, you are sure you lose a pound a week doing this.

I hope this helps. And I hope you lose the weight, goodluck!

Good job on jogging. Yes, I would say that is a good workout, but I would set a more definate amount of ab exersizes. Don't do them for a set time, do them for a certain amount of reps. Also do a variety of exercizes, because you can't spot reduce. You have to lose weight all over your body. Also, Don't look at the scales. It's good that you don't have a certain amount of weight that you want to lose. It doesn't matter as much how much you weigh, because some people's bones weigh more than others. Watch the mirror if you want to observe something.

But God made you beautiful. Don't obsess about losing weight. Just eat healthy and excersize. You truly will be amazed with the results.

Hi,

I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at http://www.getgoinfo.info where they have a free trial and you only pay 6.95$ shipping and handling.
Good luck!

you could do the thing i did when i first tryed to lose some weight i used to weight 245 and now i am at 180, the first thing i did was a change in my diet that meant for me no greasy food, you may think this is not the best thing but i bought this game called DDR(Dance Dance Revolution) for the PS2 and a dance pad then i danced everyday for 1 hour you actually sweat a lot and is a good aerobic workout and you have a lot of fun with it you also build strenght and endurance, stamina then after that i do ab workouts for about 20 minutes non stop i like the feel of the burn, then after that i do about another 20 minutes with weigths and also the punching bag, also eat vegtables like brocoli and lettuce and eat fruits and try to cut out on the sodas, and also drink water with meals, and if you do that you will lose weight like crazy with the excersize and diet as well. hope this helps and good luck, its possible to lose weight if your dedicated, thats all you need is dedication.

You are off to a good start. Most "reasonable" diets aim at one pound per month. In addition to consuming less, you MUST exercise more. Diet and exercise! 3500 calories = 1 pound. So if you are currently consuming 3500 and can reduce it by 500 calories, you'll lose a pound a week. If you go to a gym, check out the aerobic machines that tell you how many calories you've burned. Cycling, for example burns 300-500 calories per hour. Strengh training is really good too, because it raises your basal (resting) metabolic rate and makes you look more tones in the meantime.

Just stick with it! Good luck.

Fad diets don't work. Remember, it's calories in versus calories out.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

ok- its' good you want to be healthy- but you need to run more than every other night- shoot for every day!!! try to get about 30 minutes cardio 5 times a week (or more!) and get into pilates!!! its a great way to lengthen and tone your body and burn fat. also try yoga.
try this: 30 minutes cardio 5 times a week, pilates 3 times a week, and 2 yoga times. on the last day go on a hike or something! mix it up! also try some weight training if you want
