This may come as an alarming shock to you... but prayer is absolutely useless regardless of the who, what , where and how of them... and there is growing factual evidence to validate this claim.

Chances are you're not doing anything "wrong." I have found that praying forself gives why to more involvement from me in whatever it is that I'm praying for. This usually means a great deal more time in that prayer being answered.
Also, it may very well be a time of spiritual and personal growth for you. This could be a season in your life where God may stretch you in ways that will probably frustrate you a great deal. It's okay - you're not doing anything wrong - God just seems to be under the impression that you're ready to grow more.

Well sh*t, I don't know. At least good things are happening to other people, that's good right? So you're power of prayer is not completely off. Think about what you want out of life. Pray and try and act on those desires. Double shot makes for double the chances. I like to think that destiny is in our hands, not someone elses. But that someone else is always there to help us out. That's my philosophy. See you around.

I dont know do prayers always answer the details but i do think the more you pray the better your luck is.
Its probably a wrong statement but the more you pray the less things in your life need you to pray for.Maybe like preventative medicine with the odd windfall.

No you're not doing anything wrong. Remember that God's timing is not ours. He may or may not have the plans for you that you would ask of Him. It has been my experience that if I pray for something in particular and it doesn't happen, I always give way to God's better judgment. He can see all things, we can't. Pray for what you need, and leave the result to God. He will do what He thinks is best, and don't we really desire His perfect will over our limited view of things?

Perhaps what you are praying for is not what God has planned for you. Or you are being a bit impatient, I am too by the way. This scripture helps me when I feel the same as you.
Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.
Psalms 37: 7
Bless you for praying for others!

Yes, I've thought the exact same thing. I agree with esther, sometimes God has another plan that we can't really see or think that it's the best. It is a real blessing to be able to pray for others though.

If a baby is sick let's say, why would a divine being need to be prayed to before he does something? Does this divine being like having his butt kissed? I really don't get the whole thing.

do you believe helping others is good for you? sometimes we can not see the milk for the cow....in other words believe that pail is full and when you move the cow (when you wake up the next day ) you will see your milk(your believing that God loves you as much as he loves others is important) Can I ask you if you would send someone you did not like or want to advanced to do important work for you? Neither does God
