Wow! Been through Delano a million times. Once I blinked my eyes, and missed it. I get the impression from some of your other questions that you are a young girl. Boy, are you going to be bored out of your mind in Delano.
Delano is a VERY tiny farming community about 35 miles north of Bakersfield on Ca-99. There is little to do there. It gets extremely hot and dusty in the summer. The major activity is to watch the occasional freight train pass through town (they keep you awake all night, too). I'm assuming that you are going there to visit someone, because Delano is definitely not a tourist attraction.

Delano is a small largely Hispanic farming town in California's central valey. The best thing about Delano is that it's actually served very well by public transportation. Both Bakersfield (Kern county) to the south and Tulare to the north operate daily transit service to Delano in addition to Delano's local in town transit system. The result is that Delano has a unique bridge of bus service allowing for long distance low cost transportation across the region.

This is a small agricultural community. There is a hugh community of farm workers There many are undocumented. these are the people that pick the food that you eat. As a result, Delano has beenthe center of the farm workers union. This is a community is not a tourist center or a place to go to the clubs. But if you want to help families get up and out of poverty you will be welcomed.

It's a small, predominantly Latino farm town, with a large illegal alien population. It has a higher crime rate and a lower average educational attainment level than the state at large.

Like Peedlepup says, it's hot, small, and boring. Nothing much to do there if you aren't a grape picker.
Why did you say you were going there again? Did I mention it's hot?

There isn't much there except for vineyards and miserable weather. I hear it's supposed to be over 100F there tomorrow.

There is a state prison there. That should answer your question.
