If you believe energy could not be created nor destroy, there is always chance as long as there is energy. Energy can merge to the matter.

nobody knows what happens after someone dies, neither atheist nor christian nor any other faith or philosophy.
the two general areas i think might happen are
1. there is something afterwards.... perhaps a new dimension, perhaps a form of an underworld or heaven, you get born again into an alternate earth located on the exact opposite of the universe, perhaps you get reincarated, maybe you just go back to being born again because the universe is stuck on a repeating loop... you don't know and there's so many variables in guessing
2. there's nothing. everything just goes black and what you are disappears and any body energy you have in your gradually dissipates in the surrounding areas of your dead body
as i like to say, each one of us finds out in the end what its all about in a way

Yes, I do think this is the only life we get a chance at. When we die we become worm food like all the rest. Of course, we've got these carnal survival drives combined with wild imaginations that kicks on the self-denial switch for some folks.
I do believe however some of us can symbolically "live on" in the people we've touched and the things we've left behind.

While I don't know who's right (or if anybody is right at all), Jehovah's witnesses' perspective seem to be coherent in this regard.
Do you think it's fair that God makes you pay for eternity for your sins during your brief existence on Earth?
Or that after 1,000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000 years (and over), you will still keep paying for the sins you committed in the 100 years of your life at the most on Earth?
According to their perspective, you just die...
You will not be granted access to Paradise, but you will not be sent to hell either...They say Hell doesn't exist...

For anyone...(atheists, professing christians, agnostics included), who does not accept and believe in Jesus Christ who died and saved us from the penalty of hell for our sins, and who does not have a saving relationship with Jesus, WILL go to hell. You must be a true christian, born again, made a new creation by God to END UP with God/Jesus in Heaven. It's simple and clearly stated in God's Word. As far as another place for Christians...NOT. Only Heaven and Hell. God bless

I don't know. But I think there might be some sort of continuation of consciousness after physical death. A collective unconscious or something. After all, nothing in the universe ceases to exist, it only changes forms. Guess I'll find out when I'm dead!

What happens to us when we die? Man, that's a tough one. I think the only clue we got so far is with consciousness. Is consciousness us or do we use consciousness. I like to think that we are conscious, and that we are not unified with our consciousness, but it is an extension of us, like how our hands are extensions of us. So I guess when our bodies die, we go to ourselves, whatever, whereever, whoever that may be. The real question is, do we get to come back, or is it better this way. I would like to think we get to come back, but I'm not too sure other people want it that way. Maybe people only think they got one shot at life because they don't want to come back. Too much bad noise I guess. I don't know, all I know is that I want to have some meaning, you know? Some purpose to my life that well, is life. And that's what we got right now. So hey, we're alive! Let's keep it that way. Peace.

When we "cross over", we go back to the "soul plain". There, we are de-briefed and after an undetermined amount of time, we incarnate again and continue on our souls journey. Learning and experiencing as much as possible. Also, trying to fulfill our mission in that particular incarnation.

To answer your first question, I think if they are good people they meet the same fate as religious people. If God is the type of entity who judges us, I don't believe this god would be unjust on a matter of having the right belief, but rather the right actions.

Yes, I believe this is the only life I'm going to get and I act accordingly. Or at least I really try to appreciate what I have and be alive while I'm alive.
