Although it is possible it is not healthy. Depending on the color you have now, i would just go for highlights... u can make them REALLY light and nice looking. Going "white" is not healthy and if you have thin hair you will look bald. It is very hard to achieve a TRUE white anyways... most that have WHITE are either elderly or albino...
Good luck...but please don't do it.

You can get ice white dye, you need to find a hair supply store to get it though. it's kinda rare. You will prolly have to bleach your hair multiple times to get it as light as possible, then the white will cover over the platinum blonde. First step would be to double check with a hair stylist or someone else that has experience with bleaching to see what will get it the lightest. As for the white dye.... a friend did his when we were still in school.

Technically, no. But that's because you can't use tint (dye is for fabric) to lighten hair.
Yes, you can get white hair. You have to bleach hair to lighten it, especially to white. It's best done by an experienced professional because of the chemicals used, and the training needed to use them properly.

You have to actually bleach it. If you have black or dark brown hair, get TWO bleach kits, and apply the second after you've washed out the first and dried your hair. Be careful that you don't start breaking it all off, and use conditioner until it all grows out.

Yes it is possible. Thru bleaching of the hair which sort of killed off the colour pigment. But I must warn you, it is extremely harmful for your hair.

Not really. What you'd actually do is have your hair 'double processed. You'd have all your natural color removed (bleached), then color such as platinum applied.
