I am looking to find out who this person is. I am trying to act with some caution but I need to know what I'm dealing with. Can someone help me out? I tried reverse looking but all I found is it was a Verizon Lan line. Again if someone can find the name of the person who matches the number 212-678-9267, it would be appreciated.

I have thought about calling the authorities but is that too drastic? How can I prove he said what he said?

When I was a telephone operator (back in the day) any number that started with 9 after the prefix (678) was a payphone. Have you looked into that possibility?

I'm sure your phone service could have a recording of it. Call the cops if you feel it's necessary. BTW, this is the wrong section for this question.
