I would have to say the Japanese. Even though more of them are eating the western style diet, there are still many who eat traditionally. Rice, vegetables, and fish will keep you pretty healthy. Way more than cheesesteaks, ribs, and kidney pies.

I don't think there's any one people as a whole out there that are healthier than others. There are representatives of those people that are healthier but I don't know of one culture that is truly healthy.

The Japanese are not healthy as more than 60% of the population smokes which is part of the reason they're so thin. And forget the "traditional" diet as that's really only the old people that follow it. The younger crowd have adopted a more North American diet complete with fast and convenient foods. The exception to this might be in Okinawa however. Even taking into account how they love the Hormel product "Spam", these are some of the longest living people in the world.

The Australians I think are in line with the Americans as the getting to be the fattest country on Earth. Last time I was there I was shocked to see the amount of fat people. Then when we went out to eat I saw why, the portion sizes were huge. It got to the point where we'd order one entree and just split it and I was still full afterwards.

Healthies Workers - Construction workers, personal trainers, athletes etc.. and any job that requires you to use your bio-mechanical energy.

Healthiest Race - Living in a diverse city like Toronto, I've noticed that in proportion to other races, the Asian race has the lowest obesity rate to my eyes. According to a world life expectancy chart, Andorra was rated the highest life expectancy in the year 2000, and Japan a close second.

I think people who are active and in touch with nature and themselves are the healthiest in the world. Being physically fit and outdoors makes people both physically and mentally healthy, which therefore makes their lives overall better. :) Like Me!

Mormons.
No alcohol, caffeine, drugs, tobacco. A woman who is a Mormon lives an average of 8 years longer than if they would have never become a Mormon. Its 11 years for men.
A 102 year old lady said that she stays busy, doesn't eat red meat or cheese, and drink lots of water. She was just baptized as a Mormon.
