Since Dale Jr. is signing to Hendricks my 20 year old quest to assure myself that there is without a doubt, a guarentee a God has now been answered.

Well I knew God existed before that but I am glad hat Jr is coming to Hendrick Motorsports !!!!

I wonder what the major rivalry will be now that Jr and Gordon are teammates? These fan bases hate each other more than any other... where will this passionate differing of opinion move to now?
And does anything think that Jr. fans will suddenly get some class and NOT throw potentially lethal objects at others? I doubt it ....

As far as Nascar.com not commenting on something that wasn't certain, I don't know if I agree. I'm pretty sure they ran a story a day or two after the original Jr announcement of leaving saying that he was headed to Gibbs.
As for this deal, I almost hope it doesn't happen. While it is a great move as far as getting wins and possible championships, I don't really want Gordon and Johnson as teammates. I usually like to root for my drivers partners. My perfect scenario would be for him to go to RCR (but NOT drive the 3). This way he could be with Harvick and Burton who I root for when Jr is out of a race. It would also be nice if Jr and/or RCR would be able to buy the #8 from Teresa (maybe she could pretend to be a good Step-mom and sell it to him).
None of these will happen I'm sure though, due to the recent motor deal between RCR and DEI and the fact that Teresa only cares about making money for herself. I'm just glad that the free agency will be over tomorrow so I can stop speculating and actually know the answer.

Your celebration is a bit premature as this season isn't over. God had nothing to do with this, so leave religion out of it. It was just fate. So why don't you calm your hormones and just wait out the rest of this season.

i would have to say that the junior nation fans in darlington and talledega are having a massive redneck bon-fire tonight. I am glad that Jr. is putting himself in a position to win a championship.

It's all but official on Nascar website.I would not think they would say much if they did not have a reliable source.
