you can do this by going to the dmv and apply for a bonded title. you need to first run the vin # in a paper for a month depending on the state. they will give you a paper that will show you what you need to do. it is not that bad though

go to your local secretary of state office and apply for a lost title.bring the Vin number and any other info about the truck with you it cost about 15-25 dollars for it.good luck.

Bring the VIN # to DMV and as long as it hasn't been reported as stolen, I'm sure they can get you set up with a title.
