I think by bringing you chocolates he was just saying that he liked you. It's kind of a sweet cliche like flowers ... he just wants you to feel that he was thinking of you. It's a nice gesture.

No, of course not. Take it as a compliment that he bought you anything at all cos a lot of men wouldn't even think of it! A lot of people find chocolate a safe gift to give cos most people like it.
