Some of the non-beleavers here are very respectful, and other...well not so much. I'm far from a Christian but I make sure I don't bash Christians for what they beleave.
Most Christians are very nice people if you get to know them.
What I wanna know is, why are some of you so quick to judge every single Christian and group them together as one person?
This question is not at all directed to ALL non-beleavers.
I'm not saying that all Christians are great people and don't puch their oppinion on you.

Yes, I know.
I forgot to spell check. Sometimes I type too fast for my own good.

I am happy to hear a non-believer take your view on Christians, I am one. But I've always believed that Christians shouldn't push their views on to other people. If people have questions I'm happy to answer but I don't push anything on them.
I assume that people who don't believe in Christianity want pretty much what I want. Respect, not judgment based on their beliefs.
I understand why some people come on here and get so angry at Christians, because they feel they are being judged, but not every Christian judges, I don't for one believe its my place to do so. I just don't want to be judged for my beliefs either.

You must believe one of two things. Either the universe created itself or some Creator made it. Both are unprovable both are unknowable. So how can some people just flatly declare that there is no creator?
Even the most religious person freely admits that the existence of God cannot be proven but that it is by faith that they arrive at this belief. On the other hand you have others who are convinced that the universe created itself or that there is no creator even though they too have no proof. Yet they are absolutely convinced that they are factually correct when actually all they have is faith as well. Faith that science will eventually prove it.
How does this make religious people delusional? Why is it a fairytale that the creator exists and not a fairytale that he does not? The religious have ancient books that say the creator does exist. Why do you not believe them?
One must admit that this Jesus person certainly had quite an impact on the entire world. He was only here for 33 years and only preached for about three years before he was killed. Yet, look at how far and wide his fame has spread. Look how long his fame persists. That alone has to make one wonder.
No single human being has ever had that sort of impact. Do you realize that almost no one could read or write back then? That there was no means of publishing even if they could?
I cannot explain his popularity. The oldest reference books suggest he was the messiah. I have no tangible proof to dispute it. Just because some choose to not believe is not proof that it is no so.
At the very least, it is a draw. No one knows for sure in scientific terms. Yet, many of the greatest scientists are also Christians.

Christians are just the same as any other group of people. There are the good, the bad and the ugly.
I wish people would stop painting everyone with the same brush. I can't stand generalizations and stereotyping.
And just because "some" people will go there, I am not a Christian.
And please strike the term "non-believer" from use when you are really speaking of non-Christian. Non-believer really has a totally different context and most commonly refers to people who do not believe in God which is not synonymous with non-Christian.
For balance I am equally tired of the way "some" Christians throw the word non-believer around as well, when it is a misnomer and implies that if you are not a Christian you don't believe in God period.

Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Jews.... and the rest.. They are all normal people who happen to believe in something different. It doesn't make them better or worse than the others. It's their attitude towards the others that's important.
Nobody can judge a person because they believe in Jesus or in Buddha. No religion teaches bad things. If we all followed the rules and respected other people's beliefs, this would be a great world.
The problem is, some people just can't do that and they even KILL in the name of God.
It's hideous.

its like asking, what do you think of people? They are (we are) all individuals, all different, there are some kind ones, and some obnoxious ones too, and remember, not everyone who calls themselves or are labelled by others as christians are christian at all. Also, even true christians are still human, no one is perfect, everyone, christian AND nonchristian, has made mistakes or could have done better.
Bashing anyone for having different beliefs than your own is wrong, regardless who is doing that, christian or atheist too. When is that ever going to stop !?

I try not to generalize them. But I live in the South and run into more dimwited, raceist, mean spirited, but political Christians than I do the ones I get along with.
A co-worker tried to tell me the Bible is older than Plato. I told her Plato lived in 400 BCE and the Bible was not a complete work until 700 years latter. She told me God gave us the Bible 6,000 years ago when he created the universe. My jaw hit the floor.
On the other hand their is my best friend. He is a Christian and always will be. He knows it is not litteral or scientfic and excepts it on faith alone.

I have many christian friends and we can have a great time and act like civilised people, but when we get into serious conversation about what I believe I see the true daggers come out and their disgusting judgments. Some christians believe that non-believers will truly be punished and have a very low opinion of them and some believe that non-believers are evil, whereas the non-believers only think that believers are just ill informed or haven't yet matured

I love them all. However, there are some that I run into that have low EQ, very immature, take personal offense and are quick to project toxic behavior. No thanks. No amount of praying can change their ugly inner countenance. They have do to it from within, on their own. Emotional instability is totally a separate issue than spirituality. This goes for non-believers as well.
The emotionally healthy ones are better company:
"Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character." -- 1 Corinthians 15:33 NIV

I think people judge Christians because once u become a christian u stop doing things u did before. You become a better 4 God. And well people maybe do not understand why Christina act like that. since they dont read or know anything about the bible. I am Christian and lots of people have judge even my family I am the only Christian in my house and it does hurt when they say things like "oh she is not going to the party because she is christian"... thats what i think..

This is a hard question, many people use this word as if it is a fad. Christian means Christ-Like, this means that Christian should be as such. Many get bad perceptions of Christian because, say but they don't do. This is the hypocrisy that we see and live with.
