The Thermostat is not on the upper hose.
It is in teh housing on the driver side of the motor above the Trans.
Follow that hose and you will see the housing, not easy to get to but it is there.

Follow the top radiator hose to the engine. Where the hose connects to the engine should be the thermostat housing. Disconnect the hose and pull it back out of your way, I should be held on by either a factory clamp in which needs pliers to remove or a clamp which needs a flathead screw.
Remove the housing. Clean both the surface of the intake and the bottom of the housing with a scraper removing all old gasket. If all of the gasket isn't removed the a leak can occur when attempting to reseal the housing. Lay the gasket on a the clean dry surface and evenly set the housing back in its proper position. Evenly tighten the screws and replace any connectors. Connect the hose and fill the radiator with any lost coolant.

the easiest way is to follow the upper radiator hose down to the engine, there you will see a housing with bolts in it,drain some of the coolant out of it before you loosen the housing,or a certain amount of it will run out on you, after you have done that remove the housing ,clean it off,and put the new thermostat in the same way the old one came out,and be careful don't over tighten the housing bolts, on it,that housing will break real easy, tighten them real easy, and ,make sure you have put a new gasket on it,once all of this is done re-fill it ,with coolant, and start it to make sure it doesn't leak, its not a painful job,it just takes a little while to do it,good luck on it ,hope this helps.

Don't know this particular model. Follow the top hose from the radiator back to the engine. This should inevitable lead you tothe "gooseneck" where the thermostat is located. Best to you! ;-)=
