Growing up with hillbilly parents, I LOVE country sausage gravy over biscuits. Mmmmm-mmmmm !!! And of course fried eggs (over easy) with toast dipped into the runny yolk. In short, pretty much anything that will clog my arteries. At other meals, I try to be healthy, believe it or not. And actually, for breakfast I usually eat Cheerios with blueberries, but I look forward to breakfast at my parents' house from time to time for the fatty stuff !

For cereal, Captain Crunch is best.

Otherwise, fried eggs over easy with hash browns ala cheese and onions with patty sausage and coffee.

I usually don't eat that kind of breakfast because it's not healthy, but it is my favorite.

I really like quiche or croissant sandwiches... but with something like chicken salad that has red grapes and apple chunks in it. For a more traditional kind of breakfast I like pancakes or waffles with different kinds of toppings to keep it interesting. And of course what southern girl doesn't like grits- my favorite are cheese grits!!!

Fried potatoes, eggs over easy, slice of nuked ham, biscuits and gravy, cold glass of milk. On Saturdays, I like a breaded pork chop.
I'm not a coffee drinker, but some people are. To me, I have to read the morning paper, to wake up. My morning paper to me, is like a cup of coffee to others.

CHEESE HAM STRATA

8 slices white bread
2 c. cheddar cheese, grated
3 c. buttermilk
4 eggs, beaten
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 c. sliced ham, chopped

Alternate buttered layers of bread, cheese, and ham in a greased baking dish, ending with cheese on top. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over layers. Allow to stand one hour in refrigerator. Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown on top. Cut into squares and serve.

My grandmother makes the best thin crispy German style pancakes that we eat with butter and sugar. My husband said he knew he was going to marry me the first time he tasted them.
We also eat bacon on the side (I like mine soft, he likes his crispy) and sometimes rye toast.
I also like fried baloney sandwiches on fried bread. Not healthy but oh so good occasionally!

LOL...not breakfast food at all. I love cold pizza or cold fried chicken. When I was a child, we would go to a Truck Stop for breakfast sometimes and I loved it because I always got a cheeseburger and fries .....
