It is the flow of the Holy Spirit through us for the benefit of edifying ourselves and others, to demonstrate God's love and power, and flows to those who are hungry for the touch of God in their lives. Annointing has less to do with the person being used as a vessel of the Holy Spirit, and it has more to do with the presence and omnipotence of the One who sent it, the Almighty God Himself. Several purposes of annointing include the demonstrating the gifts of the Spirit: physical and spiritual healing, discernment of present knowledge and prophecy, and deliverance from physical and spiritual bondage.

lots of people were anointed by God, saul was one, but he was picked out by man before God, and was anointed. Then King David......anointing means in my eye's you have a high purpose with God. If you are anointed by God. Like you are picked to do a special purpose for God.

In the Old Testament. The prophets would anoint, with oil, the kings. Starting with the first king, Saul. The name Messiah means "anointed one".

There has only been ONE "Anointed One"...anointed one would mean "messiah".
Anyone claiming to have "a special anointing from God" is claiming to be a "messiah".
Jesus did warn us that there would be false Messiahs, and false Christs...
He even warned us that they would shew great signs and wonders, that if it were possible, would deceive even Jesus' Own sheep...
There is only one reason why that is impossible, and Jesus also told us that...it is because His sheep hear His voice, and they won't even hear the voice of a stranger...

two ways
you can act like a nutcase and those inside religion will say "he has an anointing only god can understand, so let's listen to his rants"
