I have always thought about going on one of those long tours to Africa. There are so many different things to see. I could go to Egypt and see pyramids, to the African jungle to their wildlife refugee camps, go to south to see the ports.... it would be definately cool.

I had a friend who backpacked through Europe for three months before starting med school. He said it was the best time of his life and would definately do it again.

It depends on what kind of trip you want to take. Do you like sight seeing, adventure, relaxing.. ... me, I am more of the sight seeker.

I would take a trip around the world ~~by boat ~~ stopping off at each port, to explore the region and further inland.

Only stipulation would be that I disembark at Cape Town to do an overland trip of Africa, stopping off in Zambia and Zimbabwe for three months to catch up on friends and family and do some REAL fishing, before moving further north and following the Nile to meet up with the boat again, at some port on the Mediterranean.

Duration of trip ~~ at least two years.

Well, you did ask.

Turkey. I would visit all those paradise like beaches and enter in ancient cities which are sometimes under the sea.
I would go to Istanbul and rent a house near bosphorus and stay there drinking raki eating mezze and go dancing until the morning.
Turkey has everything that a person can want for holiday. beach, history, mountains, forests, night life, very interesting ancient areas.

Trekking in the North West USA, and Alaska. (I'd need a sabbatical year for this). Failing that (thank you Mr Graham) a day trip to Barry Island.

I would love to go to the Antarctic. In the British part it is called Grahams Land and since my name is Graham, I would like to go and see my land.
Plus it would be great to see the whales and the other wildlife.
I'd also love to go on a snowmobile and a dog sledge, plus do some ice fishing. It would be a once in a lifetime adventure.
