In Christianity it's true... See in Christianity God accepts you the way you are if you believe and follow his word. If God accepted people in heaven for doing "good" deeds then well everyone would have already been/went to heaven now wouldn't they? Hell, everyone's does "good" deeds and have goodness in their hearts, it's part of our nature. But too everyone has and does bad things. Both big and small, it doesn't matter in his eye. Therefore meaning we are equal, no favoritism or prejudice. Now the point in Christianity(as well as most religions) is to "cure" and relieve those evil and bad things we possess. So we can overcome them! Your friend stating you are going to hell is a sin! The sin of Judgment and pride, in the religion of Chistianity. The only one who decides anything is God and Jesus himself. So if you think you are going to hell ask God and follow his word... Now depending on how you stated it you don't believe in Christianity thats cool just do w/e is right in your religion.
Hope this helps...... Later!

Don't listen to what any Christian tells you. You're asking Christians if, based off of *their* beliefs, you're going to Hell or not. What Christians fail to realize about their religion is how incredibly hypocritical it is. The Bible says one should not judge, yet God judges us when we die in order to determine if we go to Hell or not. It's interesting that God does exactly what his followers aren't supposed to do. But you also need to remember that nothing in The Bible can be construed as fact. Many years ago, a group of people sat down and decided which stories would go in and which would not. So how can we say what is real and what is not? You should also remember that all these quotes the Bible-thumpers are throwing at you are from a piece of fiction. Hell does not exist. Jesus was not divine. Just live your life however you want to, and not according to the standards of some old, boring book. And don't listen to a word the Christians say. When have they ever been right about anything, anyways?

you didn't say much about yourself, what do you believe in? there are many who are believers but they say they are no not Christians. You could in your heart believe in God, you could love Him and you could live the way you should, only God and you would know that, specially God. I don't know how you believe so I cannot say your going to hell, that would be judging you and I am not here to judge anyone or I try not to anyways..Blessings

I'm so sorry to have to agree with those that said that you are going to Hell because you aren't a Christian. My Bible says that God loved you and sent His only Son to die in your place. If you do not allow Him to take your sins and forgive you, then you will have to stand before God with your own sins and tell God why you chose to refuse His offer of forgiveness and chose instead to spend eternity with Satan in Hell. Please get a Bible and read the book of John. The Holy Spirit can speak to your heart and you can settle this matter. Don't choose to reject this free gift.

We christians are not judging you, we are just telling you what God, your creator has to say in His Word which is TRUTH. Jesus will judge you, so look to Him for answers, not all people who may lead you astray with their earthly opinions. If that person follows The Word and you have discerned his answer with The Word of God as truth, then listen to him/her. IF you die without the covering of the blood of Jesus, you will go to hell. All of us need to enter a sinless Heaven WITHOUT sin and the only way we can be sinless is with Jesus wiping our sins away with His shed blood. When God the Father looks upon you when you die, He either sees sin on you or the cleansed, redeemed person by Christ. But, while you still have breath, you still have opportunity to turn to Your Savior and Redeemer who wants a relationship with you! Covered by His blood and headed for Heaven!!

All you have to do is ask God to save you from your sin. Jesus died for us. Paying the price that we couldn't possibly pay. He did this because God loves us and wanted to provide a means of escape from the effects of sin here on earth and ultimately to save us from a Hell that was created for the devil and his angels.
Are you going to Hell? Without Gods grace in this world, we would be in Hell right now. But, by accepting His offer, we shall be changed into a new creature and begin living the life He meant for us and then one day we will be with Him forever in Glory.

Relax - NO HUMAN decides this - ONLY GOD.
This sentence: "I am not a Christian, therefore many believe I am going to hell. Is that true?" Yes - It is true to them. They think this will happen. See according to these humans, you are not following their faith, so therefore are going to where they are told people that do not believe like them go.
AGAIN, ignore this as ONLY GOD will decide your reward.

Bhaini, what does hell mean to you? If you look up the original work translated hell, it is sheol, hades which refers to the common grave of mankind.
So only when we die, our body decompose in hell, the grave. And cheer up, theres so much more to learn in the bible to make u happy.

Let's put it this way, Destiny, I believe I am Christian, one who tries to follow Christ, being a member of the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints".
Even our Church is fully named after Him. He acts as our Head, through a living prophet on earth today, who acts as His 'mouthpiece' today.
As I understand it, we teach, as you say, that a person is judged more for his/her works - whether his/her life be good - not just mainly for as they 'profess' with their mouths.
John, the Revelator, said, of the Judgment Day:
"And the books were opened and the dead were judged - both small and great ... etc., etc., and men were judged according to their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil" It does not say, anywhere there in that account, that anyone will be judged merely for what they claim to be.
In fact, Jesus said that in that day there shall be many who will say, Lord, Lord, did I not do many things in thy name ... but I will say unto them:
"Depart from me ye that work iniquity, for I never knew you."
We do believe, therfore, that for one to obtain the Highest glory in Heaven, he must comply with and try and strive and live the "pure love of Christ" in his heart [which is true charity] - Christ's being the only perfect life ever to live upon the earth, Judgment is more about what we BECOME, by what we have focussed on in our lives, than it is about mere acts performed or an adding up a 'points for' vs. 'points against' life.
Repentance of one's sins and misgivings is the key.
From true repentance, as there arises a 'change of heart', there becomes 'a change of life'.
The person becomes a new person in Christ, filled with the life and love of Christ in their hearts.
Now, having said this, God knoweth all things ... and He is faithful and Just in all thigns.
GHe knows of your precise life's circumstances.
This is something that most of these others answering here have not taken account of.
His own Word says, "Ye cannot be saved in ignorance" ... meaning, if you don't know the PURE Gospel of Christ you cannot receive FULL and true salvation.
But as one, so it is with the other!
If through ignorance of the pure love of Christ, you cannot be fully saved, likewise, as one ignorant, ye cannot be truly condemned either.
You see, what the others have not mentioned to you here is that for those who never had a proper chance to learn of the full and pure Gospel of Jesus Christ in this life, God has made a way that they can learn of His pure and unadulterated Gospel after this life.
These, too, may also receive the full blessings available to faithful members of His Kingdom on earth.
Don't worry, God has every possible thing covered.
If you don't get Full chance to make it with Him in this world, there is still a proper opportunity made available after this life.
