i need a cell phone because i always need to reach one of my parents or my siblings but cant becasue i dont have one. im 14 years old and going to highschool next year. my mom and my sisters have one and i dont think its fair because i need one. especially for this summer because i will be away for a montha nd wont be able to contact anyone when i am alone with friends or out with friends somewhere. i dont just want one and my mom doesnt have enough money to buy one. i cant get a summer job because i wont be near my home the whole summer, and i need to concentrate on my studies when the skewl year starts...it really sux and ive wanted a job to pay for my own stuff for a long time but im not able to get one now.any suggestion? i really need a phone!

There are jobs you can do even being in different locations. Mowing lawns etc. If you stop and think about it cell phones have not been around forever. Your mom did not have one growing up and she did fine. Get a job and you can pay for one. Sorry no sympathy here

When I was 14yrs old I NEEDED a phone and my mom said no but my dad said yeah. They were going back and forth about way i should and shouldn't get one. The thing that changed my mom's mind was when my dad said the world is getting crazy, shouldn't she get one for emergencies ? The plan was for me to have it during the week and when I get home from school, I would have to give it to my mom or dad. On weekends I was able to use it because the plan I had came with free nights and weekends. And if I get an F or D on my report card, the punishment will be no phone. So think about this and it may help you get a cell (LOL).
Sometimes life isn't fair. You just have to deal with it

If you can't save the money, you don't get one, it's that simple.
There are pre-paid ones, you should be looking at those first, as the regular ones with their variable charges are NOT for teenagers.

if your really need one, have your parents consider you borrowing your sisters while your away. otherwise, you really dont need one at your age, not until you start driving and stuff

stop worrying about a cell phone till you are older... its NOT gonna kill you not to have one~~ i KNOW all your friends have one, and such, but they're Spoiled, and you dont need to be that way
