sending a non-believer to hell? In heaven you are with God, serving Him, and in His presence continuosly for all eternity. Why would you want this? You spend your entire life wanting nothing to do with God, so guess what? He's doing you a favor by giving you an eternity without Him ie hell. So isn't he showing His loving nature by giving you exactly what you have always wanted, freedom from Him?

Nowhere does it say you will be tortured, get your facts straight. There is a difference between torture and torment. Torment is internal, you will be "torturing" yourself.

So if a person has been taught about God and chooses not to believe goes to Hell and you have a person who murders, steals etc....and has no remorse and they go to Hell...........well it just doesn't seem fair does it? I personally believe that God is a loving father and a loving father may choose to punish a disobedient child by sending them to time out but when they've had time to reflect on their actions and be remorseful the father forgives them right? So maybe the nonbeliever only goes to Hell for a short time as a punishment. Or maybe instead of going to Hell with the murderers and such maybe the nonbeliever has to go to a place where they can see into Heaven and all the joys that are there but can't actually go in...... I guess we'll all find out when our time comes.

he dose not have to torture the individual.

even if you claim they are not deserving of Heaven, what did they do to deserve being tortured for eternity?

You would think a kind Creator omnipotent creator would have an alternative. Maybe reincarnation, or at the very least non-existence.

Torture for non-belief is sick and disturbing.

Edit-
Fine, its still sick to torment someone for a lack of belief. This is particularly true of an Omnipotent creator that can spare the person of this kind of suffering.

If it is just the end of existance, then I would be happy with it. But many belivers claim I will be tortured there. That Hell is contridictory to a loving all-powerful God.

You can only chose one without a contridiction...

1. Loving all powerful God
2. Hell
3. No God

First of all, I don't exactly agree with what you said. God is not unloving for sending a non-believer to Hell. Instead, it's the other way around, the unbeliever is actually the one being unloving towards God by not accepting His gift of salvation for us through Jesus Christ. For example, as a kid, did you ever mess up and make your parents really or even just a little bit mad at you? Like lets say, you lied to your parents and came home after your curfew, or you took the family car out for a joyride and totaled it, or even just getting bad grades on your report card. Well, what did your parents do? They punished you, of course, right? Yeah, well, in the same way, because we're all sinners, our punishment form God is a separation from Him in a place called Hell when we die. Your parents punished you because they love you, and want you to learn from what you've done so that you don't do that, again. Well, God has a punishment for our sins because he loves us. But, you know, God loves us and he DOESN'T want to see us going to Hell, so he provides a solution through Jesus Christ. And, all you have to do is accept that you're a sinner, just like we everyone else, including me, and to believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for our sins and rose again three days later, and you can go to Heaven, as well. Also, we are in God's presence, now (God is omnipresent, everywhere), on Earth, not only in heaven. Why would I want this, to be in heaven with God? Heaven's a perfect place, and the bible says that we'll recieve our glorified bodies (that means perfect vision if we wear glasses, no disabilities, no more tears, no more sorrow) when we go to Heaven. Heaven has streets of gold and crystal seas; it's just so much more magnificent than words can describe nor for our human finite minds to imagine.

You said, "You spend your entire life wanting nothing to do with God." How can you say that? You don't even know God! Because if you did, I'm sure that you wouldn't have said what you just said previously as I quoted. So...what you're saying is that you'd spend your entire life wanting absolutely NOTHING to do with God, and be content going to Hell, so that you do have something to do with SATAN, instead of God, when you die and go to Hell for all of eternity!?!? How very logical of you.

God has always been showing his loving nature to us. "For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins." (John 3:16). If you consider being condemned to Hell as a favor from God, then be my guest. Personally, I consider it a punishment.

So, if you are a parent, and you've had perhaps 10 children, and 9 of them don't belive in you, you would have no problem sending them to a place of torture for the rest of their lives simply because they don't believe you are their parent?

That makes a whole lot of sense now, doesn't it?

You miss understand God. We all deserve eternal punishment. He is the God of justice. Those who do not accept His grace through the sacrifice of His Son will receive justice.

Justice = what you have earned
Grace = a free gift, you did not earn it like a wage
Mercy = when you deserve justice but are given grace instead

The Orthodox belief is that all will be in Gods presence. Those who are not believers will find it hell.

since your god of hate, and hell, are both myths, it really doesn't matter.

it's unprovable mythology. you can debate and scream "my cult is better than your cult" all day long - it won't change anything.

i have a father. he loved me, never hid from me, and never threatened me with an eternity of hell and torture if we played hide and seek and i couldn't find him, a much more intelligent and experienced hider. he never had to lord himself over me like that. because he wasn't a hater.
