I'm either too fearful or not careful enough,. I guess when you're one do the other. That'll make for a balance. One definition of respect is fear. If life seems boring, think of yourself as nothing and everything will seem interesting. That makes you pay attention becuase your interested in everything, but it also makes you see things comming. Living in the past or future makes it unsafe now. If you driving, fiddling with the radio can distract you from what your doing. Inattention again, in a way. If you're in the moment out of fear, that's distracting too, the fear itself theory. Fear, worry, anxiety will kill you, fast or slow, for sure. If you handle what's in front of you well, that builds confidence. Forgeting where you are should scare you. If you're not up for what your doing, do something else. Thinking about what your doing can make everything more fun and is your best protection too.

why should you fear anything? Bad things happens it's a fact you can't protect yourself from. If you are scared of everything that could harm you and protected yourself from everything. What kind of life would that be? You would never have fun you would never live your life. examples: sun can cause skin cancer should you avoid the sun all together? Love can cause pain should you never seek it? People can cause pain should you stay away from them because at some point they could hurt you physically or emotionally? I suggest you be fearful of as little as you can and live your life to the fullest.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Words to live by folks. Actually just fear dangerous stuff like dangerous animals, guns, bombs, and things that can hurt you.

I would only warn you to be careful of anyone who tells you that you need to be afraid.
They are trying to control you not help you.

"we have nothing to fear but fear itself".....
is by far one of the worst bits of advice you can give someone; you can force them into an endless phobophobia loop!
I revere God, I respect humans, and I try not to harm nature. I fear not Hell, as I go not there. I have no phobia of God, as I know He's not sending me to Hell. I fear not the devil as He who is in me is far greater. I fear not man, as well, man has wicked potential, but I have no reason to fear man.
"fear" God
