I was raised Christian. I tried to believe in God. I really did. But the more I looked around, the longer I lived, the more I realized something is ****** up. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption and the ice capades. Something is defiantly wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed. Results like these do not belong on the resume of a supreme being. This is the kind of stuff you would expect from an office temp with a bad attitude. In any decently run universe, God would have been out on his all powerful *** a long time ago. So, if there is a God, I think any reasonable person would agree that he is at least incompetent, and maybe, just maybe, doesn't give a ****. This would explain a lot of these bad results.

When you look around it kinda makes a person wonder but, then if there are no consequences or if God would not have let things take the just and natural course what kind of a message would that have sent to his spirit creatures then, what kind of message would it send even if, the consequences were only temporary.

I keep in mind that the spirit creatures were impressed with the making of the universe and earth and man on it. So, one can imagine that even they must be disappointed how things have turned out, -for the humans.

Look, I can hang with some of your diatribe, but what the heck is wrong with the Ice Capades? Bright smiles, short skirts, fancy skating, OK in my book. Good luck with that.

Well for every sin that we commit there is a consequence and unfortunatly some are more extreme than others. If you gossip you might be gossiped about or even confronted, if you murder you might go to jail or never have mental peace. The wages of sin is death. God did not not create sin, we the selfish people and self seeking people are the one who make sin. This is why we should have the guidence of the Lord, Jesus Christ: I am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE.

Really !!! ... Every human being ever, born is confronted with choice ( adults make choices for their children) . Adam & Eve did and followed the "way I see it" choice - sinned - rejected God as their Mentor and human history has been on a collision course with sin ever, since. Believe me; the fault lies in the problem [human nature] not the Solution ( spiritual relationship with God, the Father, through Jesus Christ). If it had not been Adam & Eve, it would have been you or I !!! God cares and will resolve the whole issue at the return of Jesus Christ to this earth - after we all have had our fill with the results and destruction of "doing our own thing" !

Regardless of whether or not there is a God, things like war, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, etc, etc. are the results of Humans' own stupidity, and no one else is to blame. Do not blame God for problems we as humans have created. Take responsibility.

You need perspective.

Lets say your best friend came up to you and said "hey man, I was really miserable for 7 minutes".

You would look at him and kind of wonder where he was going.

"No man, you don't get it, for seven minutes it was like total torture, everything was really bad. It really sucked."

After a few minutes of listening to the guy complain about this seven minutes of misery you would eventually just tell him to shut up, it was only seven minutes.

If eternity is a trillion years, and eternity is a trillion times a trillion years, then the 120 years you might spend on earth is about like seven minutes to that 120 years.

120 is to a trillion as 7 minutes is to 120.

get the perspective?

This life is material. It goes away and then we have eternity. This life is only 120 years and in the "bucket" of eternity that is not even a drop.

Even if you lived five thousand years in total misery without a single happy moment it would still only be like a couple of hours in a 120 year life time.

And before you go whining about me not knowing misery know that my son died at 14 and I know a thing or two about misery.

Haha, I thought I recognized the tirage. But seriously though, if you'ra actually asking. The horrors of the world are a result of man's actions, not G-d's. Or at least that the Jewish perspective. Like I always say, who needs Satan when we have people?

The MORE obvious answer is probably the correct one: Don't blame human apathy, greed, and violence on God. He tells us not to behave that way to one another, but we don't listen.

You are not a puppet, you have what we like to call "free will". Part of this means that you are responsible for your own actions, just as I am responsible for mine. I don't blame you when I behave badly, and you don't get to blame God when other people behave badly. The entire premise of your rant is flawed, and you need to seriously reassess why you decided to stop believing.

Hmm...
God works in mysterious ways.
My grandfather got extremely sick, and fell and had to be put in a nursing home, which he did not want to go to at all...but in that nursing home, he was saved, and came to know God. God may do things that you don't see the reasons for, but, dear, he has the gift of foresight (he's God), and knows his plans. His plans for the end of the world is already laid out in Revelations. You may not understand, but it's because you're a mere human. I won't even pretend to understand his plans, but I know that everything he does has a reason.
You have to have faith. Faith is the basis of Christianity, hon. You have to, in hard times, go to God, and talk to him, ask him for help, but you have to always have faith in what he does.

Even so, think about all the horrible things we humans do...it's not like we don't deserve it.

Also, you're placing a lot of blame on God, and you seem to be forgetting about a guy named Satan. He does things like this to make people turn away from God, and to blame God. You have fallen right into his trap, right into Satan's hands...I just hope you realize the truth and turn to God before the end.
