Some take the Bible literally while others see the stories more as fictional stories to help emphasize a moral point...there has been some evidence found in the historical accounts and people the Bible has spoken of, but there is also a lot of unanswered questions that remain. Some evidence may even disconfirm some of the stories...It is up to you to investigate the facts that scientist archaeologists etc are uncovering. Some are true and some are not, which makes it very difficult for us who are not experts in those feilds to differentiate. Personally, I do not believe in miracles, or the Bible as a real and accurate portrayal from the past based on what I know now of the world and natural laws. To me, some of those stories are impossible. But I do not disregard the moral values that the Bible offers, obviously it is very insightful to say the least. But if you believe in God and that he used to intervene in the natural world and talk to people, then what we know now of the world does not apply to the past. So, now, a flood over the whole world is impossible and to fill an ark with every animal. But if Moses had God's intervention back then, then who is to say that it wasn't possible because the rules change! Sorry if I am confusing! I hope that helps! There is no TRUE answer, you must find it on your own within your heart AND mind.

Well to answer your question about how God got such and incredible power, in the Bible,(since you say you are religious, I'm guessing that you take it to be a credible source), it talks about how God has never had a beginning and he just always has been. It's really hard to grasp that because as humans, we have a very limited knowledge compared to God. For Noah's ark question, God told Noah to build a HUGE boat for a BIG flood. I understand about the elephants and giraffes, but Noah most likely brought baby animals on the boat for room's sake. They would have grown a little on the boat but they would not have matured to adult size. Hope that answers your question. If you are still struggling with it, I really encourage you to watch "Indescribable" by Louie Giglio - it is incredible! Also, talk to a leader in your church; he/she will be able to answer your questions more thoroughly. And don't forget to pray about this - God is listening and truly loves you.

You're looking way too much into it. It's hard for makind to realize religion, and try not to look at it with scientific point of view, since we are creatures that want to know the answers to everything. No matter how hard we try, there are just some things we can't know, and he have to accept that. As for Noah, the Bible was written by humans beings. Not God or his angels, that know everything. Honestly, there probably wasn't a guy named Noah who bulit an ark, and got two of every animal to put in it. There are other documents in ancient history that talk about a great flood, but with different details. Point of the story is that God was becoming upset with how mankind was turning out, but he promised He would always be with us.

The way I look at it sweety, is that God can do ALL things. No matter how mind boggaling it may seem. God is so wonderful and so mysterious that no one knows how God got his amazing ability. But I don't question that. I just have faith that he's real and a very powerful God. The One and Only God. That's why I love him and am proud to be a Christian!
Sweety don't worry about things in the bible that may, in our human mind, think to be impossible. Only focus on the fact that he's amazing enought to do that! Okay!? And go out telling people, that are worldly, of the wonderful and miraculas things he can do!!!!!

Some of us think tht the flood was world wide, while others of us think that though the whole earth flooded, the effect was around Altlantis. Where we get the name "Atlantic". So the part of the world that flooded stayed that way longer around where Noah was. So to him, not knowing the full extent of the world, only had to get the animals from his surrounding area, or perhaps Atlantis itself. Whatever kind lived there.

You said that you believe in God and are religious. What makes you think that being religious is the way to be? Did Jesus say, " Be religious" ? Rather he said to believe in him, and be saved. Have you gone over that with anyone. E-mail or IM me and I'll tell you what I know, if that will help you I would be glad to do it.

The story of the Flood is myth, not historical fact. Noah DIDN'T get all those animals on a boat. Every culture (not just the Judeo Christian religions) have some similar story about a flood and the righteous man who was picked to survive it. Do yourself an enormous favor, and get to know the works of Joseph Campbell. They are very helpful if you really want to understand what "religion" is all about.

With God, all things are possible. Remember how many tiny creatures share the earth with us, and the creatures that inhabit the water did not need to hitch a ride! I am content to know that today, if I absolutely need to know something, the Spirit of God will bring me revelation.

It was a really big boat. but don't worry about it when you have questions or doubt about God, becuase a very smart pastor once told me that it's those struggles that strengthen your faith. But keep at it. There are not enough christian/religious boys around anymore ;)

oh and God didn't just "get" his power like spiderman- he just was. I know, right? it's kind of hard to comprehend

but just keep at it. pray about it. good luck and GOD BLESS

God's power existed eternally with him. He is the Alpha and Omega (Greek beginning and ending of alphabet).

Noah had every two KINDS of animals in the arc. This doesn't mean he had a black cat, leopard, and tiger in the arc. This means he would have 1 type of cat, one type of spider, one type of dog.

In fact this sort of supports the Christian thinking of God creating the evolutionary process.

In Christian theoligy, God has always existed and always been the all powerful. Very hard stuff to comprehend.

Yes, that had to be a big boat!!!
