if a husband sugests to the wife to wear hijab at home, and the explanation is because the angels will stay also at home with wife, is it had to do also that he wants her to wear it when he is not home? I am new muslimah and I am trying to learn, I obeyed and wear the hijab at home as well I just want to know

Salam: there is a lot of people that comes to the house at times and is near the road. As well I conduct a business at home and sometimes the door bell rings many times. There are lots of neighboors. so maybe that is why but I will take in consideration learning my rights

It's better to wear, if he's not in home, sometimes suddenly u get guest you won't be in hurry to wear your hijab to open the door. when he's in home, he can open that to the guest.

Hijab is for wearing in the presence of non-Mahram men. If there are none at home, then there's no reason at all for you to wear it in the home. Your home is your private solitude. I think it's quite an odd request, and extreme to say the least. I agree with sis Proud Muslimah, and it is essential that you learn your rights. Some men have been known to take advantage of new Muslimah's because they don't know their rights. I hope that this isn't the case with your husband, I wish you all the best. However you have to be aware and understand your rights, and if he is violating even the smallest ones, it needs to be brought to his attention. One of my best friends went through alot of things because her husband was neglecting her rights and demanding every one of his. Alhamdulillah she is now engaged to a wonderful man who, in her own words, almost worships her!

What is wrong with your husband???
You only need to wear hijab around strange men, not while at home with your husband. Tell him to go ask an imam.

That's just weird! I've heard of this before, and I guess it must be rooted in some cultural tradition. I suppose there is no harm in it, if it is done to please the husband, but this is most definitely not a part of Islam.
I hope he doesn't expect you to wear it in the shower and the bed too!!

Salam sister.. I agree with Proud Muslima... its too weird...... we don't have to wear hijab at home... we only have to wear it in front of men that are not of your family

Salaam...I have not heard anything like this before...if he had said to wear it when you are outside it would have made sense but there is no such rule in islam that says women must wear it even while in your home when no one is around!
