Take a cool to luke warm bath or shower to wash off the body salts and pollution. Mix 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel with 5 drops of lavender essential oil and apply to the burned area. Keep applying as needed for comfort. The aloe will rehydrate the skin and the lavender will help soothe and heal the skin.

There's not a lot you can do now, except suffer it out. The tiny bumps are going to become tiny little blisters. Strip off any clothing you don't absolutely have to wear. Drink loads of fluids, water is best, no alcohol. Products like Solarcaine can help, so can vinegar sponged on or aloe vera gel. If you store the gel or vinegar in the fridge, and use it cold, it feels really good. You smell like a salad using the vinegar, but it does give relief. The blisters will break in a day or so, and you will feel like you are scalded if you get into the water at all. Cool baths feel best, not showers at this point. Take Tylenol or Motrin to help with the discomfort, since you will likely also begin to run a fever. You are burned, and the body reacts to the sunburn exactly as it would had you been burned by fire. You are in for a miserable couple of days, no matter what you do. Once the burn sensation fades, you will begin to itch as the skin sloughs off. At that point, bath oil is a good idea, along with lotions with cocoa butter or shea butter and Vitamin E. And obviously, stay out of the sun until you are healed up. Sorry, there are no miracle cures. The skin is damaged and will have to heal on it's own time.

Well, I must first of all say that I know exactly how you feel!! I'm a redhead and in the summer that's all I do is sunburn, even with sunscreen. So...it's just gonna hurt for a while, but get some aloe vera with lidocaine and menthol. That will numb it and it feels so cooling when you rub it on. It's the best thing that I've found, and trust me I've tried a lot of stuff!! I actually found it at CVS, and it's the CVS brand that I use. It's wonderful!! Also take some Tylenol or something as if you were running a fever. That'll help too. Just stay aloed and lotioned up. And next time you go out just remember how you feel now....

Owie! It sounds like a blistering sunburn all right.
Stay out of the sun as much as you can. Slather yourself with aloe gel and cool water. Let the gel soak in. Try dabbing yourself with apple cider vinegar too, to take some of the sting from the burn.
The burned skin will probably start peeling off. Try not to pick at it: It will come off when it's good and ready to, when the new skin is ready.

Put some soothing cream on it. And next time you go out in the sun for a long period of time, wear sunscreen! As you probably know, sunburns are the worst for your skin. But if your sunburn gets worse, even after appling a cream on it, I'd see a doctor, so maybe they can give you a special antibiodic or a cream to help your burn.
Good luck with everything :)

Right now, take some extra strength tylenol or excedrin, Go jump in the bath with cool to warm water and some tea bags, soak for a good 15. When you get out put hydrocortisone on the badly burnt areas or if you dont have it use neosporin. I know that hurts. The bumps are either heat rash or blisters bubbling to the surface. Don't go out in the sun until you are healed. And wear sunscreen.

the bumps might be a heat rash..so apply ice to it. the best things to do for a bad sunburn are 1. aloe vera gel
2. lavender oil
3. tomato juice (you can slice a tomato in half and rub it all over your burn
4. brew some green tea (drink up) and when you remove the teabag apply it directly to the burn
all these can be done numerous times a day until your skin has healed

Hm. i have had an excellent undesirable sunburn...i do not save in options if i have had poison ivy yet I do keep in mind having poison o.ok.once (also undesirable). what's fairly undesirable is once you get an excellent undesirable sunburn (the kind the position your epidermis is practically gelatinous), and then you pass tenting, determining that you pitched your tent in a patch of poison ivy. upload the sebaceous sores to the fried epidermis and also you look as if a second cousin to Freddy Kruger. i will say that the poison ivy is worse. You win! tell Mr. Sunburn to offer up his bitchin' or you'll rub your contaminated parts on him. Hahaha.

Get that oatmeal aveeno bath soak...it'll help take the sting out...don't wear tight clothing especially during the blistering faze...put aloe on it. Take cool showers versus hot. If it's too bad go to the doctor and he can prescribe an ointment. I had second degree sunburn once and they gave me a think white cream that helped a lot.

Aloe Vera gel is AWESOME...it cools the skin on contact and it feels great.
Noxema is another thing that you can use...it also cools the skin and makes it feel soooooooooo much better.
Solarcaine is something else you can use, but it is the more expensive out of the 3 I just named.
Take cool, quick showers...and don't use soap on sunburned areas.
Wear loose, thin, cotton clothing...try to avoid tight fitting clothing.
Hope you feel better
