Why do gays get mad when i say there lifestyle is an abomination?Dont they know what it says in thescriptures?
while you may speak Truth you must also do it in Love & humilty.
A humble & Loving spirit is the only way to reach through to someone involved in anykind of Sin.
be it sexual, gossip, or anything else.
Jesus annointed the Believer to preach the Good News!
the Good News is that Jesus has reconciled all men (male & female) to Himself.
reguardless of wether they recieve it or not.
just read several of these questions on here. why are they here, what is the motive of those so called enlightened, tolerant indidiviuals that do nothing but bate one another into debate after debate claiming that the other is foolish or stupid . is this how a wise & enlighten person proves thier "theory", with strife & insult? whether you Believe in Jesus or Darwin you must make your decision on Faith.
those who seek Truth are humble in posing thier question(s)
& respectful of others even when opinions differ or flat out conlfict.
the Law of sowing and reaping tells us :
what we sow we will reap. then let us sow honest respectful ideaologies so that we all may obtain great understanding.
and do all this in love for you will reap love & understaning no other way.

I know exactly what the scriptures say. Do you?
The passages in Leviticus (18:22 and 20:13), understood IN THE CONTEXT of the time and place, are not an admonishment against loving sexual relationships between people of the same sex but instead against sex as a form of domination and control. Besides, these passages are part of the Holiness Code which is not binding to modern day Christians (or anyone else for that matter).
The story of Sodom and Gomorrah was a warning against rape, inhospitality and xenophobia. The reason for Sodom's destruction is made clear in Ezekiel 16:48-50. According to Ezekiel, the sins of Sodom were pride, laziness, being inhospitable, neglecting the needs of the poor, greed, and idolatry (the worshiping of idols). Nothing about homosexuality is mentioned. If Jude 1:7 describes anything about the sexual immorality and perversion in Sodom and Gomorrah, it's describing RAPE.
1 Corinthians 6:9 was a mistranslation of the word "malakee". It's used elsewhere in the Bible to mean someone who lacks discipline or one who is morally weak, and never is it used in reference to sexuality or gender.
1 Timothy 1:9-10? Also a mistranslation. 1 Timothy was an admonishment against male prostitution, not committed, loving same sex relationships.
The words "physin" and "paraphysin" in Romans 1:26-27 have also been mistranslated. Contrary to popular belief, the word "paraphysin" does not mean "to go against the laws of nature", but rather implies action which is uncharacteristic for that particular person. An example of the word "paraphysin" is used in Romans 11:24, where God acts in an uncharacteristic (paraphysin) way to accept the Gentiles. When the scripture is understood correctly, it implies that it would be unnatural for heterosexuals to live as homosexuals and for homosexuals to live as heterosexuals.

What? Are you brain-dead? Your God is completely imaginary and the gay people you insult are living breathing human beings. The bible is nothing more than an anthology of the prejudices and superstitions of bronze age primitives. How do you imagine you have the right to insult and demean American citizens just because your asinine Deity is a bigot? You are the one who is an abomination and you ought to be horsewhipped.....
Edit: OK, I retract the part about horsewhipped. Sorry.

Who are you to say their life is an abomination. Intolerance of others for a reason like sexuality, religion, colour, creed, now thats an abomination. I am a white, hetro, male atheist. That doesn't mean that white hetro male atheists are right. I think you need to look in your heart and find the real reason you don't like gays. Don't your scritptures preach love and tolerance?

Fan: The Bible is written for the people of God, namely, Christians. The issue of homosexuality is to be left out in society and not to be used as a hammer to hit the practitioners thereof, by Christians. Have you not read that not even God, the Father, will judge anyone but has left it in the hands of Jesus Christ - not you nor I (see: Book of John, Chapter 5, verse 22). Let it be far away from any Christian to do Jesus's job for Him since we lack the spiritual maturity and the loving wisdom to do so. "Let you, who are without sin, cast the first stone" !

The Old Testament also talks about the correct way to obtain slaves and how to properly take a wife from a village you've just pillaged. Should those things be taken seriously as well?

YOU dont understand what it says in Scripture. If you read the O.T. hebrew..it doesnt condemn the full act of homosexuality. It condemns such acts on the Sabbath day and within the grounds of the Holy Temple. I HATE little idiots like you who read ur bible, not knowing what it means, and thinking you do.
God bless :)

Something makes me think you just asked this question to get a rise out of the people running around in the Yahoo! community.
Flip it around man, if you were the minority and someone said something similar about your lifestyle, you probably wouldn't stand there and say "thank you, may I have another please."

Loving your fellow man is one thing, taking it up the backside is totally wrong.
It is even illegal to have annal sex with a woman so why should men be allowed to do it.
Don't get me wrong I am not anti gay or sexist, I am however anti gay sex especially between men.
Women I don't mind so much. As a rule they don't go sticking things where they shouldn't.

According to the Bible eating prawns & lobsters is also an abomination--However Christ said it was a sin to see sin in others---so I guess your not a Christian--otherwise you would try to obey Jesus.
