Thanks everyone, it's encouraging to see I'm not the only one thinking / who has thought along these lines.

I'm sure you're among the ones who help make this world a better place. :-)

Thank You!

Yes, yes, yes!
Just like Terry G, I do my best to pray the other daily prayers too!
I notice an undeniable (negative) difference in my daily life if I slack off on the prayers. That said, even doing one prayer a day not only keeps us in touch with the Creator, it gives us a special protection against ....... call it what you want.... basically "bad stuff" (evil, negative energy...).
My kids and I compare it to that energy-sphere that Violet makes in the movie "the Incredibles" - just to let us visualise it a bit better. The more prayers, the more protection, but just as importantly, the more connection to God. This is the most important part of prayer´s impact on every-day life.
So, you´re definately on the right track! Keep it up!

Yes, I do. Prayer is talking to God and the only way to build a strong and deep relationship is to communicate. However, prayer is not confined to fixed times, eg. saying grace before meals or praying before going to bed. The Bible says to pray without ceasing and that means that we should be always in communication with God throughout the day.

Glad to see that you are beginning to see the advantages of prayers - prayers opens door and moves the hand sof God to do the things we cannot do by our own strength, so keep praying!

Saying prayers does not make the world a better place. Get off y'r blooming knees and start doing some good deeds. Something the atheists learnt a long time ago.

Or in the morning to start the day off in a nice fashion. Since God doesn't care when you pray, I may pray anytime. The advantage to a nighttime prayer is to have a routine. Makes for a more peaceful life.

Those who think that they owe gratitude to their Creator have been and shall keep on doing this for all times to come because these benedictions shall be continued to be bestowed not only in this life but also during the life hereinafter. In fact these prayers should be made not only at night but at all times because we require his mercy at every second.

Yes I do for the blessings HE gave me. Perhaps I am here with you as my prayers been granted. It is good to pray and ask forgiveness of your sins, knowingly or unknowingly you committed all day long before going to bed. What you lose, nothing, it does not cost you anything.

I always pray before going to sleep. And when taking a shower and driving to and from work. And various other times of the day.

I think this is a practice that most religious people have, regardless of their religion.

Five times a day (including before bed) on a schedule 5AM, 1PM, 6PM, 9PM and 11PM (bedtime). It's the Muslim way and it gives a real nice rhythm to the day. Plus whenever I feel the need...like I thank God when an Eagle flies over my house or my kids do something nice and unexpected.

I'm Muslim so I pray 5 times a day and one of those prayers is before I go to sleep. So in other words yes I pray before I go to sleep.

Every night before sleep and the first thing when I awake. During the day as I am presented with various decisions.
