Evolution is a fact. The scientific literature has shown that beyond doubt. What is left for discovery is the exact mechanisms and causes of particular moments of evolution.
As a scientific model, there's no better documented model in biology, including reproduction. So if you're questioning evolution, you're also open to questioning whether sperm and egg mergers are the ways of sexual reproduction. But I'm sure there are still "Storkologists" out there willing to argue for the Stork bringing all new children.

There are a few problems with the speed it happens at at times.
One thing I ask about is mechanism. The human little toe is shrinking. The differences are measurable in the last 400 years. It is doing it world wide although there are differences in speed based on the culture. I have asked several people to explain the mechanism that causes this.
I mean the thing is basically unused, and with shoes there isn't any real pressure to get rid of it. So why is it happening so fast and all over the world. The unused part explains it being weak and small, but it doesn't really explain the heritability of the change.
Now that only is a problem with mechanism, and it doesn't go against the big idea at all. But I do think that it is there.
There are very few gaps and they are relatively small and insignificant. I actually think there is more of a record than I would suspect given how hard fossils are to make and find.

Thus far, we can only say so much based on what has been discovered. We can only assume, make estimates. There is no book of answers we can currently access in which we can double-check our ideas and theories.
The worst aspect of the belief in evolution is the same aspect found in it's so-called opposite: religion. The problem is faith. Are we to believe in what others have pieced together? Which is the correct version of evolution? The Big Bang? Polar tilt? Meteor?
We must have conviction with an open mind just as some do in the case of God and creationism. They have read a book, we have read bones. We must have faith that those who have pieced together the clues are right. However, there are so many varying ideas about evolution that one will not suffice for all (like religion).

Eeek that term evolutionist.. It is like salt in the eye. There are missing links, but that is because it would require hundreds of thousands of fossils each related to each other. Gaps also exist, it is inevitable. The method of science has clearly shown that evolution is a fact with all of the evidence we do have. Science under scrutiny will usually show gaps, missing equations, etc. As an example we do not understand gravity completely yet it is still accepted as fact.

The fact that species evolve has no problems, and the problems concerning the bio-genetic processes that drive it are really just unanswered questions.

EvolvedKW -- is right, ‘evolutionists’ is a term used by Theists as a negative reference and so they can avoid calling them by the more familiar, and accurate, term ‘scientists’. If you want to apply it to none scientists, you can call them ‘educated’ or ‘scientifically literate’.
Those who are unaware of biological science (non-evolutionists) can be referred to as ‘scientifically illiterate’, or just ‘stupid’.
Further, anyone who denies evolution but goes to a doctor is a hypocrite because medical science (as with every life science) works only if evolution is true. Without the scientific theory of evolution, modern medicine is no more than the voodoo practiced by Witch-doctors.

There really are not any 'problems' with it. But it is a scientific theory, it is not written in stone, like religious beliefs. It will improve and possibly change, as more evidence is uncovered. But is answers all the major questions necessary for it to be considered accurate and true.
FYI 'Evolutionist' is not an accurate description of anything or anyone. It is used mainly by Theists to try and lump vast groups of people together. Like they are. Herd-like.

Only one major problem, there is no actual proof that any animal population begat another population of animals, only that both existed. This ultimately means belief in prehistoric evolution must be taken on faith.
Any form of evolution that can be proven through observation of populations of animals since the historical era does not apply to the traditional concept of evolution but to variance through selection.
One must always remember that when it comes to biological science human conceptualization is not evidence for biological processes, such as saying a domesticated dog "evolved" from a wild dog since it could just as easily be stated a domesticated dog is a variety of a wild dog bred through the process of human selection.

Natural selection is not really that scientific more like a common sensical thing that anyone could figure out. Even though I am Christian, I believe that God created evolution as a way to create things. As a computer scientist, I realize that efficiency is the most important thing and by controlling natural selection, that is the most efficient way to create a multitude of creatures. Of course God created us after making us in our own image by improving off of a previous design.

There are lots of problems with evolution. But, this is not the point of the debate. Evolutionists, as you call us, are willing to examine the inconsistencies and the problems with the theory. Religionists take everything on faith. One uses questions as a tool (Evolutionists) while the other take a question as a personal affront to their faith.

Evolution is a fact with tens of thousands of verified predictions and retrodictions to support it. It is easily one of the most verified theories in all of science. Do we know every single step along the way, no, for instance I don't know who one of my great grandfathers was. According to creationists, that would make my great grandfather a missing link. But it is obvious creatures evolve.
