I saw that today, even though the speech was in 1992. Al Gore also claims that Saddam was planning on making nuclear weapons and Al bashes Bush Sr. for appeasement with Saddam. Al Gore wasn't the only one to make such statements. Many of the Democratic front runners also made such speeches. These speeches are going to crop up in Ad campaigns against them next year. Obama was probably the only one not to make a speech about that, But I believe there is quotes by him where he wanted to invade Sudan (which would be another messy war).
