Jehovah's Witnesses offer a free home Bible Study. Within 6 months you get an understanding of the basic truths of the Bible. With one-on-one study you will be able to get the sense of it and be able to show anyone what the Bible really says from your own Bible. It is all at no cost to you. No one will ask anything of you except to study and learn.

The Bible says that when we hear the message of the Kingdom of God, and receive Jesus as Savior AND as Lord of our life, He gives us His Holy Spirit to be our comforter, guide and teacher. The Bible is not like any other book. It is the living word of God but is foolishness to worldly wisdom and worldly ways of looking at things. There are many bible scholars who do not believe in Jesus as the Son of God and soon-coming King of kings. WITH the Holy Spirit, we have the promise that He will lead and guide us into all truth. So, assuming you've received Jesus as Savior and Lord, whenever you open your Bible ask the Holy Spirit to teach you.
A great free resource is biblegateway.com, and there are many other online free resources to help you study the Bible. It's important to understand that the Bible was written by Jews, and that it has a certain cultural and linguistic approach; Messianic Rabbi David Stern has done a translation of the entire Bible (Old and New testaments) as well as a commentary on the New Testament -- both are very helpful.
Finally, pray and ask the Lord to lead you to a good Bible teacher, and go to the class (usually weekly) regularly.

You can call any church you want but if you want to learn the real truth of the Bible you need to contact God's ambassadors. He chose 'Jehovah's Witnesses' to speak for him. He revealed his purposes via the Bible to His Witnesses.
He said in the scriptures ...."you will be Witnesses of me to the most distant parts of the earth."
He also said "You are my Witnesses and I am your God" In another place he says "I will take out of the nations a people for my name".
I ask you who proudly are stamped with Jehovah's name?
Jehovah's Witnesses.
Satan will try to put you behind a veil with all the other religions but "The Truth " will gloriously shine through if you study with us.
Jehovah wants those hungering for truth and to learn about Him is the first step to true salvation.

Yes go to Border books or Barnes and Nobles or any bookstore in your area with a coffee shop. Get a pile of books from the religion and the occult section, sit down and read to your hearts content. I would have said Library but bookstores tend to have newer editions of the commentaries you might want to read. The only expense would be some tea or coffee if you get thirsty for more than knowledge.
