Dex cool has been used in most all gm cars and trucks for about 10 years now.Dex cool is a user friendly coolant that last five years or 100.000 miles before you need to replace it.

Yes GM uses Dex cool in their newer vehicles. I have a 99 Pontiac Grand Am and I use it all the time.

Yes, GM started using Dexcool around '95 or '96. I think there was some still using regular green antifreeze and then they finally switched them all over. You can use either in the newer or older cars just so long as you flush all the other old stuff out and make sure the system is very clean before switching.
