Global warming is about much more than hurricanes. There could be no hurricanes this season or there could be 1001 hurricanes and it won't affect the reality of global warming.
We know a great deal about the consequences of global warming but one of the areas which isn't clearly understood is the effect it has on hurricanes and similar storms.
We know for example which conditions are most condusive to the spawning of hurricanes and we know that global warming is leading to a higher incidence of such conditions. It follows therefore that there will be more hurricanes and indeed, this is what we're seeing. In the last 30 years there has been a 50% increase in intensity and an 80% increase in frequency. There's also been an extension to the area in which hurricanes have been witnessed.
However, these changes are probably beyond anything that can solely be blamed on global warming and it's likely that there are other factors at work which we have yet to understand.
Hopefully this year there won't be any hurricanes, there probably will be. How many, where and how intense is something that time will tell. The general trend is upward, not year on year but over longer periods of time and global warming does have a role to play.
Ask this question again in 10 years time and you'll probably get a more definitive answer.

That is the beauty of the whole global warming debate. It can't be conclusively proven either way. If, like last year, the hurricane season passes with few storms, then the pro GW people will say "It's because global warming has made the weather too unpredictable" and the anti GW'ers say "See, it didn't happen the way you said it would so there is no global warming problem" If the season is as predicted the pro GW'ers say "See, we told you, we are all going to die!!" and the anti's say "It's just nature, get over it."
Of your 3 options I'd say the best way to go about life is to let God and Nature do their work. We can do our part by using common sense but I don't see the need to get carried away with it.

For a long time to come now, every little blip in the weather is going to be attributed to Global Warming, thats why they've renamed it "Global Climate Change" just in case things gets colder. Either way they can jump up and say "AHA THIS PROVES I'M RIGHT". This is going to continue until people get distracted by something else, like maybe a real problem such another major hit by Muslim terrorists withing the USA, or maybe Hillary issuing a Presidential Pardon to Paris Hilton during her inauguration speech.

natural disasters are not getting worse...
Population is growing and we have better communication.
So with more people, you'll have more deaths and injuries... and more property damage when there is a natural disaster.
And with better communication (20 different all-news all the time cable channels rather than 30 min in the morning, 30 min at noon and 1 hr in the evening with just 2 to 4 channels in the 1960's) you hear more about every little thing that happens.
And... it was just STUPID to rebuild New Orleans... its built on mud that is SINKING. in 30 years no matter what is done the only way to visit Bourbon street will be in a glass bottom boat... assuming there's no rise in sea level... if sea level rises you'll need a submarine.

The weather from year to year can do anything. That's in the hands of a higher power.
The worldwide climate is clearly changing in a bad way right now, over many years. Note that individual years jump around a lot.

That's mostly our doing.
