I have a friend who made the mistake of giving this guy her cell phone number and from day one he will send her 50 or more text messages a day....it stopped for almost six months and now they are starting up again...its so bad her text message mailbox is always full by the end of the day.....she doesnt respond and he leaves messages like "what are you doing"...."Are you busy"....even at wee hours in the morning.......like 2am....I told her why dont she just tell him to stop......she said she did once but it hurt his feelings....now she is asking me what should she do?......What are your thoughts on this....

You are a wise and sage friend....TELL HIM TO STOP... the guy obviously has issues...it will only get worse if she doesnt put her foot down! Pure and simple...think about it, this aint brain surgery...she should either tell him to stop; date the loser-not an option, right?- or change her number....If the second one is not an option, then that leaves two options...why, oh why, does she care about his "feelings". If she is NOT responding to these texts, isnt that hurting his little bitty feelings? If she is, isnt she leading him on? only to dash his hopes into the cliff of misery and sorrow...ok, got a little dram there, but you get the idea....plus, isnt this costing her something? TELL HER TO TELL HIM TO STOP OR STOP COMPLAINTING TO YOU ABOUT IT!

Two words, restraining order, she can get the records from her cell phone company. Go to the police and put an end to that.

Ask him the same question you just asked here, if he doesn't get the hint , shoot him, or have someone else do a drive-by on him. Either way no more texting.

tell him text messaging isn't in her plan and she blocked it so she can't recieve any text messages. Not to bother texting because she doesn't get it. When and if she bumps into him she can say...what text?? I have that feature blocked so I don't get them....
