What if Jr left DEI and went to HMS..........?
Would you Jeff Gordon and Hendrick fans be mad? Lets face it, y'all say that he cant drive, but owners are foaming at the mouth at the chance that he may not re-sign. Would y'all still say that he cant driver now that he's your favorite drivers team mate. Jeff himself has said that he would like to have him as a team mate, which means one thing, the guy can drive.

Scenrio, Hendrick drops Casey, puts Jr in the 25 with Budwieser on the hood. It would be fitting being that Budwieser did sponsor that car for a while. Again, this is a what if, I'm not looking for bashing, or Jr fans being pissed, I'm a Jr fan, but I want to see how Hendrick fans will respond.

I just about hit the nail on the head, other than Kyle leaving and them keeping Casey. I'm pretty sure I put on some other post that Dale would drive the #25.

I never fully counted HMS out, but I really thought it would end up being Ginn Racing. Question now would be if DEI will pick up Kyle. I think they would be stupid not to, he is a good driver, but I think where the break down in the new contract came was that Kyle was to full of himself and wanted more than what he was worth. Looking forward to seeing what is said tomorrow.

Gene, like always Jr fans got grouped together. Fact is, most Jr fans dont want Jr in the 3 car, I dont, maybe toward the end of his career yes, but he needs to earn the right to drive that number which he has not done. Although I do agree that alot of Jr's fans live in a fantasy, but not all of them. A true Jr fan would have listended to him when he said he didnt want to drive that #.
also, this was an old question, I was just reposting it. It was interesting at the responces that I got from it, its also interesting that people dont read everything about the question before someone post.

Bellslady, good anwser. I really excited as a Jr fan if this all become reality. Teaming Jr up with to cup champions gives Jr just that much more fire power to get a cup of his own. Maybe Jeff will pass along to Jr what Sr passed onto Jeff. Add Hendrick power, the sky becomes the limit and Jr will either go down as the guy that couldnt get it done or as one of the greatest drivers alongs side of Sr, the King and Jeff.

Dale Jr. won six races in 2004. He has won 17 career races on the cup circuit, in DEI equipment. It is laughable that people think he is mediocre. I am obviously a Johnson fan, but I am a realist too. Jeff Gordon is the best driver in NASCAR, Jimmie Johnson is a great driver. Dale Jr. is a great driver too, and the fact that only Gordon, Johnson, and Stewart have more wins in CUP since 2000 than Dale Jr. should be proof enough to all the naysayers. It never will be enough though. They will just say he is what he is because of his name! If it is all name then where is Kerry Earnhardt? Why has he not won 17 times in CUP? PEOPLE PLEASE! Be realistic here. The stats do not lie, Dale Jr. can drive the wheels off a race car! If you do not like him, then fine, you have a right to you opinion. But it is disrespectful to say he is mediocre. Saying stuff like that just makes you the same as the Jr. fans that say Gordon sucks and he is a BLEEP, and then they throw perfectly good Budweisers at his car! That was a perfectly drinkable beer PEOPLE! Not to mention that Jeff is in a 3500 lb. car with his helmet on! HELLO, that is not going to hurt him! I think the people that throw good beers away should be required to wear a hockey helmet with a chin strap to the track if they are going to attend in person. I am a HUGE Hendrick fan by the way, we are not all idiots and rednecks. BUT I NEVER THROW AWAY A PERFECTLY GOOD BUDWEISER! See I am smart... Point is Dale Jr. will probably have more than 30 career wins when it is all said and done, as many as Mark Martin, and may have a championship to boot. He already has the 500, REMEMBER!

Well I for one am totally excited at the possibility that Jr will be with HMS, I have hoped for it all along. I said awhile back I didn't want anyone kicked out of their ride because of Jr, so I have to say I was relieved to hear Kyle wanted out of his contract with Hendricks. I'm a loyal fan and would have followed Jr anywhere, but with Hendricks I just feel like he'll have a better shot at more wins and yes that elusive championship. I'm sorry to hear some fans have already said that if he goes with HMS they won't follow. Only time will tell how this all plays out.

I am glad to see that Junior is thinking of joining Henderick's Motorsports. I am also glad that Kyle B is going to be out if this is the deal. Kyle is nothing but a 19 or 20 year or spoiled brat that gets pissed if things don't go his way. An example of this is when he walked away from a race and Junior stepped in to finish. Kyle should have been heavily fined by Henderick's for leaving a race and the company should have suspended him for a race or two.

Good luck to Junior in whatever decision he has made.

Last I checked it was the Junior Nation that was getting all steamed about Junior possibly going to HMS. They got all indignant and self-rightous with anyonje who dare to say he would not be with RCR and in the #3 Car. If anything the Junior Nation has been in a messed up fantasy world for the past several weeks.

I would love to see Junior as a teammate to my Driver Jeff Gordon. What I don't want are those of the Junior Nation who throw away perfectly good beer; trash talk at the level of jr. high dropout, and keep calling other Drivers gay because they are too pathetic and stupid to come up with anything else.

Gordon Fans have never said Junior can't Drive; what they do say is that he is over-rated which he is sooooooo very overrated. He is a great Driver; but he is no Dale Sr. reincarnated and never will be. It's time the Junior Nation chugged a pot of coffee and woke up to realty insted of making Junior out to be someone he never will be.
