I agree, they are just too lazy.Sometimes a spell checker won't help if they can't tell the difference between 'their' and 'there' or 'know' and 'no'.(see Italiano Jedi)
They don't like being criticised either, have you noticed?
They say you are nit-picking. The odd typo, one can overlook but a sentence like:- " They no that i would of gone to there party if i could of but i was sick."...can't go uncorrected.
What's worse is that English is meant to be their first language.

it's not really that important is it? after all language is just used to communicate with other people and if you get your message across then isn't that fine? after all look at how many acronyms and shortened words are used these days, yet the point still gets through.
i do like some of your responses though, especially one who says he's perfect, yet his grammar/punctuation is inaccurate.
me, i'm far from perfect and use the check spelling button all the time, coz i don't know the right spelling to many words.

Because it would look a little strange to have correctly spelled words mixed in with the grammatically incorrect wording. And yes I use the spellcheck button.

Thou shalt not use infinites thusly, damn it.
I USE SPELL CHECK. Some words are misspelled on purpose.
And yes it IS annoying, when it isn't on purpose.

Some people do. I don't because I don't need to. My accuracy is near 100%, and my spelling is impeccable.
