Sounds like something a troll would do.

As far as I understand, all the blocking feature does is make so that someone cannot look at your profile and stalk your Q & As or email you. Yahoo didn't say anything about it leading to closing accounts. And I tried it and I could still see questions and answers by the person I blocked.

So it is really just an anti-stalking tool

Yeap, I sure do. And they have no qualms about using multiple IDs to do it with either.

I honestly don't think Yahoo should remove accounts based on X number of people blocking you. It should be harmless like the thumps down feature. But I fear it won't be, not from the way their blog makes it sound. Think about it, I bet tons of people will block Fireball266, but how much you want to bet she won't be removed, ever?

I did not know that blocking someone would be counted against that person as a troll. Well, I hope that they check out my other posts as well before making judgement on me. I am not here to troll and cause disturbance..

I don't know about the blocking feature, but I've gotten violations for religious diffences, and political differences. Yahoo does not review the violations.

I'm a born-again Christian, and I don't block atheists. instead, I find the holes and inadequacies in their arguments and answer them. that's what Yahoo! Answers is all about.

(note: it probably isn't a conspiracy, and in the possible event that you are a troll, you should be removed whether we block you or not.)

I only block trolls and hatemongers. If you fall into those categories, then you're parents shouldn't let you have access to the web anyway.

I just discovered that I was blocked by someone whom I don't ever recall meeting before, and who really had no reason to block me. Look through my q&a, 99% of the time I am respectful and courteous.

I won't stoop to this person's level though. I didn't block him.

You atheists dish it out too, so you can stick that conspiracy theory up your behind, and step aside while I block your whiny *ss from my q&a.

Believe it or not, we "non-believers" were the first ones to think that it would be abused like the report abuse feature is.. we're hoping that Y/A is smarter than that and will live up to their promise to actually investigate.

I didn't get the memo, again!

I have been blocked though, by an atheist. LOL
